That drum solo in the beginning really added tension to their banter and what was to come. And when Vergil put his thumb on the hilt of the Yamato, without a word, gesturing his okay to dante to initiate battle by lightly unsheathing it, ooh I got chills. "Heh, you got THAT right."
As soon as those drums started picking up you knew whatever came next was gonna be the realest shit ever. 10/10 my fave dmc soundtrack since 3 and maybe my fave scene from the entire franchise.

It's as though I've aged and matured with Dante as the series has gotten older.... I'm 35 years old now, and while I can't fire Ebony and Ivory as fast as I could back in 2001, I can still stomp a demon into the dirt with some panache. So, to all you younger kids out there, keep slaying those demons, and I hope you enjoy this series (along with other video games) as much as I did when I was your age. I hope someday a game as good as Devil May Cry 5 comes along, captures your nostalgia, and let's you re-live the ups and downs of an epic video game franchise like I did.

The isn't any other game that gives me the same feeling as vergil boss battle, there isnt any other game that gives me this sense of fairness, such a power kick and such cinematic feel. My favourite boss in video game history

The sexiest videogame franchise of all time. I would personally start with release order...because you would appreciate the evolution of the games more that way, from combat to graphics. But if you want to go chronological, go with DMC3, DMC1, DMC4, DMC5 and DMC2 but I do feel 2 was a god damn mistake

I actually got a ps2 from a friend, 17 here, and I bought a physical copy of DMC3SE a couple days ago after playing the PC port a year ago
There are two kinds of Dante players on DMD:
- Confidently and consistently royal guards Vergil
- Trickster spam dodge and pray
The 2nd variant is exactly mine.
This fight taught me how to use royal guard lol
