Correct, if one knows they are sinning they remain as sinners and not disbelievers. As soon as one legalises his sin and believes it is no longer a sin, he becomes from the disbelievers for rejecting Allah's law.
This excludes sins which are disbelief in and within themselves of course. For example, shirk, cursing the Prophet or the companions etc. In this case whether a person legalises it or not has no bearing on his apostasy, and he would exit Islam in any case.

After praying salat Fajr in congregation, then wait (15-20 minutes) till after sunrise to perform two superogratory rakat 3. Perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan is equal to Hajj 4. Going to Masjid to learn/teach beneficial knowledge 5. Saying SubhanaLlah 33, AlhamduliLlah 33, Allahu Akbar 33, and then say La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir
The real "Hypocrisy" is thinking " We are only correct. All others are Wrong". Although we all know Human Analysis is subject to errors. (e.g. Bank lending/renting is wrong (Riba). But if we renting things, it is OKAY.) This is the real "Hypocrisy", because many do not know how to Analyze things correctly or it would effect the lies they made up for a very long time (even though the effect is the same (on the poor! ... etc)). Also it is "Hypocrisy" to delete/hide/suppress such comments and suppress the "TRUTH". The real "Hypocrisy" is we always have a way to Argue that " We Are Always Correct".
