I have raster layers (let's say NDVI layer per month, user will generate new NDVI layer monthly) and my web gis website will need to show latest generated NDVI layer on its main web map. My GIS website needs to store old NDVI layers to allow user to download and see if they want and also needs to update the NDVI layer on the main web page as user updated. Can Geo Server handles this type of process? And how can I do to handle like that? I am confused and kindly help me out. Thank you.

You need to add "PostGIS" extension in postgreSQL then try again.

Just talk with you database admin. If your ip/user/port/dbname are corrected, You need to check firewall or hba.conf
when I load my layer into QGIS, it displays it as a WMS, not WMTS...
