When young prodigy Ted Gärdestad (age 15) composed the original song (melody), he had Anni-Frid and Agnetha from (upcoming) ABBA as his background choir! It is said that Ted Gärdestad (discovered by Björn and Benny) somehow brought the four members of ABBA together as a group. Ted's older brother Kenneth usually wrote the texts, most of them in swedish. From quite a young age, Ted suffered from mental illness and left us to early, age 41. He left behind his fantastic music for us to find joy and strenght from, Ted's and Kenneth's songs have become among the most requested and played on both funeral and weddings in Sweden, almost as a national hymn to us, so we are very proud of the Gärdestad brothers and miss them a lot. Ted's beloved brother Kenneth passed away recently. Rest in Peace, Ted and Kenneth ♥️♥️

Weird, though Ivé been a child of 1965 and growing up in the Ted era, I didn´t recognize this song "Come give me love" until maybe a year ago or so, and I immediately thought, wow..what a powerful song, and that this song in english could have been a hit if it had been done in english from him, and I thought ..why isn´t anyone doing this cover in English, and now I just found out the other day that Lovely First Aid Kit did just that, so...Awesome. Thanks for covering this wonderful song with your wonderful voices..and your ability to do Great covers.
