It is fun to watch some of those Diehard pokemon fans, not the respectable ones but the ones who feel like Nintendo owns ALL Monster catching games. Did it with Temtem too. No legal ground that Nintendo could attack. Sure there inspired designs, but JUST inspired nothing directly from Pokemon. That would be like saying Yanma is a rip off of Yanmamon.

Lol I beat the boss in the tower solo using the best weapons and armor I can get and my pals all level 12 even my character Boss chillet- mvp Eijthyrdeer Daedream Nitewing Teafant- healer for my character I brought 60 arrows for my three shot bow which if i brought more the boss whould be easier

Calling it a pokémon rip off is wrong because as I told my friends it is wrong to call every cute cuddly creature capture game pokémon is unofficially saying that gamefreak now owns all cute cuddly monster creature based games which one - is not true and two giving a company rights to a concept is toxic on the gaming community as a whole its like saying; "Yes overlords please give us your trash." You can say its similar to pokémon but saying its a rip off undermines the game as a whole and ultimatley places bad optics on an otherwise decent survival action rpg.
I’m ngl nothing you said isn’t saying it’s not a ripoff. While I agree is shouldn’t be called a rip off it’s hard not to as looking at least a dozen of the pals they look like legit copies of Pokémon with lucario, luxray, etc having one looks near identical in so many ways and concepts that it feels intentional. Like you literally throw balls at animals and capture them then use to fight others they literally have shinies which just called luckies, Pokédex, got concept of typings which while obvious ones like fire beats grass and water beats fire is just general no brainer they got the ground, lightning, ice and literally dragon and dark which these could have absolutely been changed to something else. Let’s be honest here it’s hard not to say rip off especially for the common person at least Pokémon side of it
This is genius. Why spend years carefully creating a giant open world? When you can have countless players do the work for you, unknowingly, and call it a survival game.
I like the idea that the Devs of a once whacky and totally not failing game decided to go back to the drawing board, slap an image of Shadow the hedgehog in his games intro cutscene putting a mag in his Gun, erased the defining parts of what makes Shadow, and essentially had their own Pokémon left over in the image and called it a day. It extra makes me laugh that they needed Pokémons with ARKs Menus and Conan's Playstyle just to go slightly mainstream. I am getting a bit tired of it even if this is only the second video I technically watch about the game. I think just me knowing what was done before kinda gives me a sort of burnt out feeling. Honestly thats good to me. There was such a long period of games just not being good at all, even if they "tried". Then all of a sudden some whacky projects come out, Lethal Company and Palworld are just passing along nicely considering they are what people want for less work.
