You’re the artist who paints with your strings. Remembering when you first began to play this song for the world, and this is a celebration of your brushstrokes, your use of color and the accruement of the finer details. It was just a beautiful in your beginning, as it is today! Thank you, for sharing your art, your passion for the music with the world! Congratulations to you, and to 10 years! All the very best wishes for you! You’re a guitar master. 💕
Still out of this world all these years later. I wish my dad could have heard this. Still think it's one of the most beautiful pieces ever written on a guitar.
Calum Graham, my friend, it is nearly impossible to imagine the salutary impact your music had in my life. I suffered from depression, a terryfing depression. I suffered from harassing too. It made me feels deeply broken... Like this painfull sorrow will Never end. But now, i feel like i am healed, your music has participated to give me this feeling. I hope all the best for you... I mean, in these dark Times, a lot of people are suffering in many ways. Stay strong mate, you deserve happiness to me, because of the effect of your music in my life. Sometimes, you need to believe even when it sounds candid to believe. COLOURS !
10 years ago this was the first piece of music that introduced me to fingerstyle guitar. I showed to my guitar teacher at the time, who told me that it was just a little beyond my skill level, nevertheless, I practiced this song over and over again until I could play it, Probably took me 5 months. Hearing this years later was a very welcome throwback to that time. Thank you.
I feel the same, my friend. This song sounds out for this Wold to me... Maybe i am crazy, but that's not important, what it made feels in my poor life, sounds magic.
When I heard this song for a first time it inspired me to get back to guitar after 4 years of not playing and learn it. Now I had another gap in playing. Haven't touch a guitar for almost 2 years. But now I want to learn this version too. Thanks, Calum!
I have a very similar story. I put down my guitar during grad school after teaching guitar for a while. I was drawn back to it after hearing this song. It has remained one of my favorite songs since.
@nukhanlee1618 I've never bothered to attempt any of calums tunes. I have bad anxiety and chew my nails... it's plagued me in all my years of acustic playing. But its definitly . Db Ab Eb F Ab Eb basically D major tuning and then down half step. ( I think) haha Michael Hedges uses it as well
@@acewing24 Thanks gettin back... And, I'm sorry to hear you've had "bad anxiety"...Though, life's hard on us, we must always try to get back on track...and chuck every adversity with wotever sweet lil things we've got with us...and, good for us, cuz we LOVE MUSIC: It in itself is a true Miracle. Well, thanks for sharing Waiting's tuning. Will definitely give it a try aye! Till then, let's keep plucking the blues away. God bless... 🙏
This song got me through a situationship long ago lmao by far one of the best songs I’ve learned to play myself for skillful and relational reasons 😭❤️
How to make a already wonderful masterpiece, even more beautiful. Absolutely speechless. The timing , composition and the creativity is Godlike 🤙🏽 Thanks for sharing 👏👏
Simply spectacular Calum, I've been following your work since 2014 and I can say that I'm a big fan of yours. A big hug from an admirer of yours in Brazil and God bless you and all of us.
💓🔥👑 Dear Calum Graham and Don Ross, Pray that you'll both honour this milestone anniversary with another duet. Again. I listen to your collab each and every other day! 💓👑
Ohhhh, Calum, how WONDER-FULL!!! Healing...as the best elixir. Congratulations, and thank you!!!!! Special beyond words...I love the setting, especially the running stream at the end! =)
How absolutely wonderful. I notice a lot of subtle changes from the original at I think Candyrat, all good. Love the percussive element. Addictive, really.
Stunning work on this video, Calum! The captivating panning and coloring perfectly complement the serene backdrop of fall mountains, adding a profound depth to your brand. Your immense talent in songwriting shines through in this piece. As a fellow guitarist, I can appreciate the years of dedication and hard work behind this level of artistry. It's rare to find someone who not only excels in technical proficiency but also in creating music that is both inspiring and ever-evolving. Your ability to masterfully blend technique with composition is truly awe-inspiring. This song, in particular, resonates with me on a personal level, reminding me of the endless possibilities in music. Your songwriting skills are not just impressive; they're genuinely inspiring, pushing boundaries and setting new standards in the world of guitar music.
3:01 I really like the lead up to the harmonics bridge. More emphasis on the hammer on/pull offs, and then splitting it between the two chords and extending it through to the next section! All the fills in between the harmonic section runs stand out more and really add to that part. Looking forward to the tabs and other physical goods!
One of your best, Calum! It’s not only relaxing, but romantic, thought provoking, positive and forward looking! Sensibly melodic!! Purely beautiful! Was wondering how you were inspired to compose this song!(if it’s not too personal)
Wahnsinn ❤!! This song is where my calum journey started. Only bad news is, I want to learn so many other calum pieces on guitar but now I just have to learn this again. 😂
