    NGL this is the first video I've seen that's making me consider the ROG over by Steam Deck OLED. Especially with Valve confirming SteamOS for the Ally. Valve also confirmed their working on the Dual Boot windows support. I wonder if that would allow for AFMF2 a little easier. Either way. You're right. AFMF2 is the future for handhelds in particular

    How did you get Yuzu to run on the Amd software?

    • @nophacetech
      @nophacetech  Месяц назад

      I used AFMF 2 on my system. It’s a system-wide setting that optimizes frame rates for all applications, not just specific games, so it runs smoothly on Yuzu as well.
      here is a long chatgpt breakdown :
      AFMF 2, or Advanced Frame Management Framework 2, is an enhanced system for managing frame rates and improving overall gaming performance. Here’s how it works and its benefits:
      How AFMF 2 Works
      1. System-Wide Frame Management:
      • AFMF 2 operates at the system level rather than being confined to individual games. This means it can optimize frame rates across all applications and games running on the system.
      2. Resource Allocation:
      • It dynamically allocates system resources to ensure optimal performance. By balancing CPU and GPU workloads, AFMF 2 helps maintain a smoother and more consistent frame rate.
      3. Adaptive Synchronization:
      • AFMF 2 employs adaptive synchronization techniques to reduce screen tearing and stuttering. It matches the frame output of the GPU with the refresh rate of the monitor, creating a seamless visual experience.
      4. Performance Monitoring and Adjustment:
      • The framework continuously monitors performance metrics and makes real-time adjustments. This proactive approach helps in maintaining the best possible performance under varying system loads.
      Benefits of AFMF 2
      1. Broad Compatibility:
      • Since AFMF 2 is a system-wide setting, it can be used with a wide range of hardware and software configurations. It is not tied to specific games or applications, making it versatile and easy to implement.
      2. Consistent Performance:
      • By managing frame rates across all applications, AFMF 2 ensures a consistent gaming experience. It minimizes performance dips and spikes, providing a more stable frame rate.
      3. Reduced Latency:
      • AFMF 2 reduces input lag by optimizing the frame delivery process. This is particularly beneficial for fast-paced games where quick response times are crucial.
      4. Improved Visual Quality:
      • The adaptive synchronization and resource management techniques help in maintaining high visual quality. Reduced screen tearing and stuttering lead to a smoother and more immersive gaming experience.
      5. Ease of Use:
      • As a system-wide setting, AFMF 2 is straightforward to activate and use. Users do not need to configure individual games, saving time and simplifying the optimization process.
      In summary, AFMF 2 enhances gaming performance by managing frame rates at the system level, offering broad compatibility, consistent performance, reduced latency, improved visual quality, and ease of use.

      @@nophacetech I figured it out in the instructions he says get the ryzen 7840u or w e download and that mislead me it just kept giving me the none preview update. In your description if u could to help others tell them to just go to the link u posted about afmf2 and scroll to the bottom and add update from there and then follow the instructions that’s on the other link . Ignore ryzen 7840u completely

    Are you using the TOTK optimizer? Curious what your YUZU settings are and what version/update of totk you're on if you get the chance! Great video :)

      to be honest i just copied over what was on my PC from like a year or two ago and jumped right into it without looking at it all hahaha i spent a lot of time back then dialing it in but i would have to go look.

      I’m more curious about how you got TotK to run without those weird visual rainbow artifacts happening in the textures on the Ally. I was researching this and it apparently has something to do with RDNA 3 architecture. I’ve tried on the original Ally and the X. Similar results.

      @@nophacetechI am also interested in knowing which mods you have enabled and what update version of TOTK you are running. If you could look at what mods are enabled in Yuzu settings and which game update version is installed/enabled and let us know here, that would be awesome!

    These people installing experimental betas are the same people that end up complaining that their devices are buggy and windows sucks. Lol. Afmf2 looks great, I will wait patiently for it

    • @nophacetech
      @nophacetech  Месяц назад +1

      Windows was buggy without this… because, well, it’s Windows. Trying to defend Windows as if it’s stable and user-friendly on a handheld gaming PC is obviously far from the truth. The beta drivers haven’t introduced any new issues over the last week-just the same old Windows quirks. But customizing and trying to get the best performance is kinda the point of PC gaming.

      @@nophacetech I find that people who say windows is buggy just don't really know how to use windows. It's rock solid for me. The hate on Windows is just a narrative.
