Would you mind giving out the details of the version you read from? It is for a school of very poor children in India trying to learn spoken English. Thank you. Sabina James
I remember my grandma having a book of the Grimm fairytales when I was a child. It was a huge book with more text than pictures, most likely meant for adults more than children. I remember that I was around 7 when I read the Cinderella story. The mental image of the stepsisters cutting their feet with a knife and bleeding all over was something that stayed in my mind for good after that. No wonder I like horror movies 30 years later haha. Thank you for bringing these stories back with such vivid narration! Much appreciated. These are more core memories to me than the Disney versions.
Thanks so much for listening. I honestly can’t remember which version exactly, although Project Gutenberg is a fantastic place to start as they have a tonne of public domain literature available!

In 60 years ive never heard of the ‘catskin’ tale….!?
but did there dad kill the evil mom
Cat skin is so f*cking disturbing like omg
Stop swearing
@VenomXCV ? 1. I didn't swear, I bleeped myself out and 2. I personally think the story is more disturbing than ONE censored swear...
Holy shit does anyone have a link to some audiobook with an AMERICAN accent
Grimm brothers aren't American
Why does it make a difference?
