Looking forward to those videos with the other gear from SWMotech. Only one descrete observation... I wouldn't pack a bottle full of water inside of the waterproof bag... 😆. Keep going with it. 👍
SW-Motech make impressive gear. I also , after watching your review on the Pro Tank Bags, went out to our distributor here to purchase the Pro Daypack as I like there adjustment mechanism and the ease of fitting. However the sales person stated that they have had problems with them in that dust accumulates in the locking mechanism and owners can't get them off the bike. I'm not inclined to go off road too much so apart from an occasional gravel road, I don't think it will affect me, but is still a small worry.
I've never had an issue if that sets your worries at ease! I can't imagine that the mechanism would go from fully working, to jamming and stuck on the bike, unless something broke! You'd notice over time that mechanism was sticking if dust were to build up inside. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but I've never experienced it. I do like to look after my gear, so that's something I would notice before it jams on the bike.
@@thelikeablerider8800 Yes, I'm thinking it's more an issue with Adventure riders who go off road quite a bit. Could also be that in Australia, we don't have the same amount of quality roads that you have in Germany. Agree with look after the gear and it will be Ok. Cheers Shaun
Nobody mentions it but the bottom of the bag does it have a sleeve/opening that you can slide over the rack? My mates bmw tail bag has and other smaller sw motec bags have it. Essentially you slide the bag from the rear and the pouch slips over the rack. All you have to do then is attach 2 front straps that pull the bag toward the front keeping the bag pouch pocket held to the rack..
Can you also mount it on the seat if you are not planning on a pillion? Without the rack I believe it would look better and keep the weight better centered.
Hi, just got a '21 BMW F750GS. I'm a fan of SW-Motech products. I like the Pro City tank bag. Will it allow visibility of the Navigator cradle (without relocating it)? I won't have a pillion rider so what rear bag would you recommend (short trips)? Thanks!!
Getting on great with it, what a sound! If Head on over to Andymancam's channel, and check out his latest "one day winter wanderings" we met up for a short ride, but as he filmed from behind, you can get more of an idea of the sound.
It's the speed rack! Gives you a bit more more space, and options for mounting more luggage if you need it. It's not massive so doesn't upset the look too much, however I did really like the short backend. As I can now push the bag backwards I can get a passenger on the bike. Not that I really ride often with a passenger, but my daughter has lately expressed an interest, so she's been out on it a few times. Mostly positive, the only negative is that its takes away that lovely look of that short backend.
The main function of it is to attach the Pro Rackpack, which I'll be doing a video on. Another rack attached is fixed onto the speed rack, which then houses the slightly wider Pro Rackbag tailbag, slightly wider bag, and this frees up the rear seat completely so you can comfortably still carry a passenger.
I'm probably the only one that thinks it looks rather ad-hoc and a bit Heath Robinson? SW Motech are certainly getting their monies worth out of you. I look forward to the next riding video. 👍👍👍
All good m8! I love working with them, but fear not! I always used their gear long before we started working together, they don't pay me, and I'm free to give you guys an honest opinion👍
hello, the decoration kit is magnificent, I hesitate between normal and matt what do you think? how to get the deco kit on the engine guard? you have to ask them on the order? Thanks you !!
I personally like the Mat finish best! The graphic on the engine custom was fully custom. I sent them a trace of the two parts and they made them for me to match the rest.
I do like SWmotech gear, well made and rugged, I enjoyed the video, however I presume you have to have the rear rack fitted for this bag, or can it be fitted around the rear seat with straps, you didn’t make that clear.
Yes of course it can be fitted on the seat, I thought it was clear enough on the video, as it was half on the seat. The bottom of the bag is shaped to best fit on the rear seat.
Helpful video. I’m trying to decide which bag to buy first. Rear tail bag or the Pro City tank bag to carry some DSLR stuff. I have the Canon 5D iii with Canon L lenses so camera and 1x lens is a little heavy. Just wondering if the Pro City could hold camera and lens without the bag rubbing on the tank in case it bends downward? Anyway your demo videos and rides outs with your gear are very helpful.
@@thelikeablerider8800 I guess it’s the weight I’m more concerned about and the bag not bending and then touching the tank. I bought some straps so I can strap my full camera rucksack on the rear seat but I’d prefer my camera in front of me.

@@thelikeablerider8800 I looked at the KTM powerparts tail bag but couldn't find if they are waterproof. Feel like the SW gives you more bang for your buck, but the KTM powerparts are orange and black which obviously matches the bike 🤣
Hi Gary Unfortunately it can't be fitted in an acceptable position, youd have to mount it too far forward, or back, because the inbuilt unit housing has taken the central point on both sides. You could possibly get around it by using the sticky mount, but placement would be far from ideal. My reason not for buying the GT Air II!
