Josias made this video so he could bring other people along the scalp micropigmentation journey with him to know exactly what to expect from initial thoughts on the procedure, aftercare and everything in between.
He saw a bunch of scalp micropigmentation before and after videos on the Scalp Micro USA RUclips channel and thought the work looked much better than other companies in the industry.
Having dealt with hair loss since his early 20s and masking his receding hairline by combining and styling, he knew it was time for a change.
After arriving in New York for his first scalp micropigmentation treatment session, our Scalp Micro USA team starts by trimming his existing hair to match the treatment length.
Then, we design the hairline! The third step is delivering the scalp micropigmentation treatment.
A few days after the first treatment session, Josias returns for his second scalp micropigmentation session.
During the second session, we add more density to the SMP treatment area.
After the second session, we see Josias and his wife’s reaction - “Ecstatic is an understatement!”

I'm light skin like you so I don't want to go to dark where the head looks a bit inky or dyed. Would love to know what tone you used.

Hey Matt when you do that do you do the whole entire head like the sides and the back all the way down to the neck or do you just do the receding parts of the head?
It depends on hair loss area and recession. Whatever needs density we will pigment. If hair is strong we will only blend into.

How long does it last? I want to do this for an FUT and FUE scars
The treatment typically lasts 4-6 years. About 30% of our clients have FUE or FUT scars that we help camouflage.
hey matt i heard of tricopigmentation which a more temporary form of smp (different ink i think). Do you know anything about this/ will you guys ever offer it?
