Fantastic performance, Carmelo. You bring intensity and a lot of expressiveness to your playing. I think Handel should be played more, because he is such a musically interesting composer.
A little curiosity, Carmelo: I know several Italian composers, but the vast majority from the Baroque period, Scarlatti, Zipoli, Frescobaldi, Monteverdi, Palestrina (one of my favorite composers), and several others that I like so much! Now I was wondering: I'm not aware of so many Italian piano composers from the 19th century. I know they definitely existed, but that's my gap. (In fact, while I'm writing I ended up remembering Respighi). As an Italian, do you know some other composers from this period?
Many greetings to Italy 🇮🇹 and thank you for your inspiring performance!

Hi André, thank you so much for your comment and support ! There are several good italian composer on 19th century for piano. I like Casella, Malipiero, Respighi, Rota. But the best in my opinion is Ferruccio Busoni, he was a prodigious pianist. He composed many works that were difficult to play. The best known is a concert for piano and orchestra and male choir which is unfortunately rarely played because it lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes and requires a piano technique at the same level as Rach3. There are about 10 pianists in the world who have performed it: you can find it on RUclips with Hamelin. It's beautiful but very long.
      Greetings from Italy !

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and explanatory comment, Carmelo. I will certainly discover a lot of new things now. Oh, how could I forget Busoni, what a fantastic composer I've already met. The others you mentioned are really good news for me. Many greetings and once again, thank you very much!
