Just found your channel and omg I loved your comments, the shade on the newer generation of mainstream pop singers and yes, she has such a beautiful voice and in some moments when she's belting her voice opens up and it explodes in a way where you can hear so many harmonics of her voice, btw I dont think I've ever seen someone with such a clean and beautiful tone in a closed "ee" vowel in a F#5 (the high note of the song) like she hit here. (Or at least not a "middle belter with whitney-esque technique" archetype of singer lmao)
Giorgia were performing live at SanRemo Festival, and she arrived maybe second. In 1995 she won with Come saprei. I was 18, in Italy we never miss that national song contest and I remember how amazed I was watching Giorgia for the first time. Now, I don’t know where you are from but I’m so happy that the algorithm brought me here. I’ve always been a fan of Mariah, Barbra and Mina. This is my holy trilogy but of course Celine and Witney are over the top too. I hope you’ll see something about Mina, it’s almost a legend in Italy. She retired very soon from scenes but you can’t miss her. Suddenly I subscribed, so see you soon 🤗👍👏

This is the song of her former boyfriend and singer Alex Baroni who suddenly passed over complications following a moto accident. She performed Cambiare (to change) a few months after his passing

Difficile confondere le due: Giorgia può cantare tutte le canzoni di Elisa (a mio avviso migliorandole, come nel duetto 'Heaven out of hell'). Al contrario la voce di Elisa non riuscirebbe a raggiungere le vette della Todrani. Prova ad immaginare 'Strano il mio destino' cantata dalla Toffoli...
