- This is my new favorite lens, the pentax super multicoated (SMC) 35mm F3.5 lens. I tested it on full frame and micro four thirds (mft) and it produces sharp wide angle lenses on full frame and beautiful tighter images on m43. This lens is fantastic on my full frame sony and micro four-thirds G7.

SMC Pentax (non-M) 28mm f/3.5; one of the best landscape lenses around.
Goeie naam
I have the 28mm 3.5, 50mm 1.4, 55mm 1.8, and just picked up the 135mm 3.5. All takumar. They have a certain quality to them that you just can't get with any other lens. The 28mm 3.5 is another slow wide lens, but it freaking rocks at the same time. Great for landscapes, although my canon full frame had a problem with the mirror touching the back of the lens. But amazing for video with my gh5.
The 50mm 1.4, 55mm 1.8 and 135mm 3.5 are all great lenses as well. Beautiful bokeh with all three. The handling is the best of all vintage lenses I've used. Although I do hear you on b the backwards focusing. But oh so smooth. And yeah all takumars are built like tanks, so build quality is top notch.
Im kinda on the fence about buying either of the 35mm versions though, because they look very similar at the back element to the 28mm that messes with the mirror on my eos full frame.
Thanks for the video
Is this a radioactive lens?
Sup
I have one mounted on my Pentax Spotamatic, I also have the Takumar 50mm1.4 Radioactive lens as well as the Takumar 135mm 3.5 . Love my Takumar lenses on my Pentax cameras
dude where are you your chanel is super dope
he's coming back just keep ur eyes peeled 👀
SOLD!
Another great video my man - I'm off to buy one (for video). 👍
At time frame...4:00, use just 1 drop of oil, on the board, to give you moisture. Don t use water, as it dries too quick, and then you get M E S S Y..... U G H . My first front page photo (3) edition, at the TORONTO TELEGRAM, was shot with this little jewel of a lens.
I like the Pentax 100mm 2.8 , Takumar 50mm1.4 and the Pentax 135mm 3.5 all good sharp lenses small in size but great performers
I just got this lens today, already lovin' it!
Ah, I almost bought one of those last week! But I had already bought four other lenses and my wallet was growing slim XD
The case is so new, my case is grey. It's been in my grandpa's closet for like 50 years. XD
Had some Taks in the past. Sold the 28mm f2,8 (to much distortion) and the 50mm f1,4 (the 7el version, too soft for my taste between f1,4 and f2,8). Now I have only two, the 35mm and 200mm, both f3,5, both excellent.
my favorite vintage lenses is olympus OM 21, 35, 100 all in f2.0 and 50f1.4
Thanks, I just got the 35mm 2.0 and love it but wondering if I should get this one also, I found one mint for a good price with the case.
yoyo. where you been mate?
Currently dealing with life stuff. Trying to push out a video within the next few days if I can
Any experience on Apsc cameras?
this is my favorite daily driver street lens. modern photographers truly are bokeh fixated... pentax on fuji = gold.
currently i have 23 vintage pentax lenses, my favorite pentax series ever manufactured are the smc pentax k primes. pick up the 24mm f2.8...
