@@elitejams I don’t think open strings ringing out is a defining characteristic of ones sound lol. I don’t see it as cheating. It’s the same thing as a piano damper. Are pianist cheating by using dampers? It just helps you to be more free and worry a little less about having an open string ring out. It doesn’t automatically make you sound good
