I would think Australia would benefit from COVID for being the few Western bloc that handled the crisis well and riding high and mighty on North Asia and China recovery.
BUT it played the wrong politics of regarding its biggest economic beneficiary as its enemy.

    • @slop123456789
      @slop123456789 4 года назад

Are you referring to Australia calling for an impartial investigation into the origins of Coronavirus? The call that has been backed by nations across the globe (including China, although begrudgingly)?
If we're talking about playing the wrong politics, look no further than China's new brand of crude "diplomacy" which has endeavoured to bully, intimidate, alienate and insult nations across the world, from France to India, Kenya to Vietnam and the list goes on. Their already small list of allies is dwindling by the day.

No, the Covid pandemic has destroyed China's business relations with everyone. Industry and companies are leaving. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese Communist Party regressed back into the 1950's or fall apart all together within this decade.

@michi hofer China is on the verge of an economic collapse. India will be fine economically; they will recover because they don't rely on exports and imports as much as China does.

I disagree with your analysis. Your analysis relies too much on energy reserve. As the development of shale oil technology, many rich economies will rely less on oil. You have to look at oil price of the last couple of years. It's going down. Cuba is out of Asian countries' redar. Cuba is too far, the cooperation between Cuba and Asian countries is unlikely. Kazakhstan has poor economic management and plagued with corruption, so its potential is questionable. Taiwan now is recognised by less than 20 countries and faces serious diplomatic crisis. No one will support Taiwan in case of China invasion. Only Vietnam is possible.

No mention of India? We have perhaps the lowest infection & fatality rate per million in the world by COVID pandemic. Our economy is set to boom on the $266 billion stimulus package after COVID is over. We have perhaps the most skilled labour & the youngest population in the world. Our inflation & deficit is under control for last 6 years. We have the cleanest govt system among large Asian nations after Japan & Korea & are a full fledged democracy. Over 1000 MNCs, including giants like Apple & Panasonic have pledged to shift their production from China to here.

Surprised Singapore isn't on the list. They dealt with Covid-19 very well, avoiding mass deaths. Also I hear there are massive deposits being made in their banks by Hong Kong nationals, could capitalise on the unrest over there as a safe haven.

Singapore rely on tourism and shipping of oil for their economy. Without the demand of those two, their economy is pretty much dead. The tax on its citizens is also crippling for a tax haven.

      definitely not
      cause India has domestic conflictions
first of all abolish caste system
and Indian has a huge gap between rich and poor
i have to say most of Indians are so confident about their country and culture
it's cool but sometimes it's fake images.
look at the slums in India's capital city
the biggest slum in the whole world is located in India.
it's a long way to go
But India will never be the governer of the world. just look at it's history.always became colony.

India appears that they havent found the way to move forward yet, both economically and socially. While they adopted a democratic government system the government has not been successful to spark anything significant to really benefit the people. Internal fights will continue to stagnate its growth. Hopefully India can find their own way to success given the country has a very rich history, culture and people. Bordering with china does not mean they need to have conflict, both can work hand in hand to help each other. A good close neighbour is better than family from afar.
