I think your idea of a gear value cap on normal mode is absolute gold. I've run into more thermals on normal mode than on lockdown and it makes no sense to me.

Mobile gamers have no idea the differences in competitive play. There is always an advantage you can pay for in some shape or form. We haven't had mano y mano since the 90's in LAN tournaments.

Not really here’s a tarkov example by 2nd month of wipe everyone is decently stacked money wise (if u know the game that’s been out 8yrs well) and basicly ur geared till end of wipe but in abi the game will never wipe so if u decide to just stack early on then weekly’s n events ur going to be rich eventually unless u just straight having it bad I been at 2k koen played scav came out 1.2 mill so if the game design was different I would agree p2w be awful.. buuut because how this games designed it’s more like kwel he bought money he’s gonna blow into the game economy and there’s no sbm so it’s not like ur forcibly playing with best of the best either
Not sure which side of the fence you're sitting on here lol. The point is though, some kid paying for his gear won't affect the F2P players as much as people make it out to be. And there is 2 years of data on Arena Breakout that shows it.
On mobile I've bounced between a couple million and 8 million. I no joke lost 6 million (no Koen purchased) in one night running nothing but T6 (bad choices were made). Now I'm back to bouncing between 4 million and 6 million. I only sub to a 3x2 case because people said they'd donate a membership to find it 🤪
I'm curious is people would prefer it was a subscription game instead of a free game? Having a ton of nice gear does not make a person better at the game, everyone knows how easy a covert can ruin a T6's day. If it was pay to win everyone would be doing it, we just don't see this on mobile. At the very best I would call it pay to save with the lockbox and at worst pay to donate because if you suck you will just give all that koen to your enemies! Making money in this game is very easy with a little time, there is no point in buying it anyway.
Cosmetics, all you have to do is stick to cosmetics.. The way they do it just makes gear mean nothing at all. And the point is that this has no place on pc, we do not want more games to do this, so we should care.
I see the mobile game world is conditioned to be screwed over by their monetization. On PC we don't want to deal with what mobile gamers are happy with.

Coming from Escape from Tarkov: The idea of running as a poor scav, meeting a fully decked out chad lvl 50+ and actually killing him, is such a good feeling. This is not the case in ABI, because scavs ususally cant enter the high lvl matches. So you have to GRIND as a scav and PMC in the "newbie" area... Kinda takes the thrill out of it for me... I prefer the Tarkov way..

I think it'd be awesome if you could get like a lockdown scav token. Say, you do a successful normal scav run, you get 1 token (and only one at a time) that you can use when you think you have the right scav gear to go into a Lockdown match to take down some higher T4/T5 players. 🤔 Writing a letter to the devs right meow 😁
ABI does allow scav run in lockdown,but it's randomized.A way to know is to check for extra loot spots and different containers that only exist in lockdown(ex. there's an extra airdrop in Highway on Farm that only exist in lockdown and forbidden)
You also can still go into those high value matches running a low tier kit. You obviously are out at a disadvantage as most players are likely using T5/T6. But you do see some players doing it, and it’s not like it’s a ridiculously rare thing either. You see it. There is a minimum value you need to enter LD/FB, but it’s pretty dang low for both. T3 or even some T2kits depending on your gun will get you to that minimum value. You also do see higher tier kits run in normal matches, however it’s a much rarer basis.
I see people rocking that high tier armor here than in tarkov and that is just fun, the pass will help out with that with the weekly rewards, it goes to show this game's enfasis in pvp
Precisely, ABI has a much higher emphasis on pvp. That's also why the spawns are somewhat close together. Action off the rip. Newer players and veteran extract players don't realize how accessible high tier armor is. It's quite easy to grind the Koen needed for it.
I think the biggest problem is the market not having level caps for items. Like at lvl 3 you unlock the market and with the gunsmith you can get any weapon and fully modify it and get the best equipment with the market. I got killed by a lvl 4 player walking around with gear worth 800k. Thats ridicoulous 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Yeah, and you start the game with something like 2 mil if I remember right. There is SOME unlocking you have to do with contacts, but you can definitely buy a stupidly expensive set out of the gate.
I don't mind if people pay for their gear. Honestly, in a game that it only takes one random bullet to head eyes someone, they stand to lose way more, and I stand to gain. Just means the rat tactics are going to be incredibly optimized.
Game balances high tier geared players...so if said mediocre player buys high tier gear with koens he also bought with real money, he'd get matched with also high tier geared players(mediocre players who also bought their gear and players that are skilled with high tier gear also).. wether this high tier geared players are skilled or not is the question. Their gears cancel each other out, what's left is the player himself. The skilled player makes a killing of all those fools with deep pockets ("It's the pilot not the plane" -Top Gun Maverick )
PC players, or moreso the EFT community trying ABI doesn't want to hear this argument though. But I'd also like a logical explanation for why it's not a good point. I think for them it comes down to feelings. I earned my gear, the person who used real currency didn't. But if your in a LD or FZ game with similarly tiered players, it just comes down to skill.
Pay 2 Win kind of lost its weight since everyone uses it all the time as soon as you can get as much as a snickers if you pay 1$. Paying for gear in a game is a shortcut, which does not give you any advantage. You get the same gear others get, you just get it easier, but lose it as easily. And if you don't got the skill to keep/earn this gear yourself, you're just a pinata for people who have skill. Even Tarkov, calling the big editions pay to win does not make your gun have infinite ammo or your PMC immortal. You still die to one bullshit shot to the throat from a shotgun 100 meters away. I remember back in the day playing games like GunZ The Duel, Gunbound or Combat Arms. Those games, were not technically pay to win, but if you had a "free" gun, against a paid gun, in a 1v1, you most often lost due to the stats they had and the ridiculous balance which encouraged people to just pay for literally better gear. A lot of older gamers learned about online games through these old FTP games and got used to it so seeing someone cry that "Ohh you can pay to get gear" is Pay2Win... nah, they're just making scammy companies even richer with an ez shortcut. I am agree with value cap for gear in normal mode, but only normal mode that has Covert ops run available for it. Play it yesterday and I manage to kill some T6 that opening locked door for me using Molotov as a Covert and it feels like I was hitting a jackpot. although I lost much many koens it still makes me happy to do it at least once. With value cap I think it still fun but will close the possibility like getting T7 as a dead cheap Covert.
Fair. I think that value cap should be put into the FB/LD modes. You see super skilled or super dumb players running like T2/3 in those modes sometimes and that gets annoying. Keeping normal as true “randomness” as to who you fight would be nice for come ups in coverts.

My problem is that the game grind is so slow on purpose in terms of making money that it frustrates players to buying money. I have not spent a cent on the game yet I find the grind for money and gear slow even on higher difficulty. This game has many good things going for it, let hope they don't fumble the ball. I think quality of life is better, shooting is responsive, but they need to add more. The stuff that's available in early accesses is limiting, market needs work and looking at what's available on mobile, the game could have a good future. It just needs to do so in timely and efficient manner. If we had even 2 or 3 more maps the players could spread out. People go to farm to pick on lower level players and its obvious. As a solo I often watch as one guy with T6 gear kills a whole squad does not even loot them and runs off. So I feel they need to gear cap the normal area or people are just going to leave. With no wipes announced either the gear difference will get worse as time goes on as well until you have to opt in to buy kemonens just to catch up or stand on a better ground.
Are you checking Deke 4 times a day? I've been making hella bank just checking Deke 2-3x time a day and buying and reselling. On top of that, you'll find cheap combinations of armor and ammo that'll make you money. And once all the maps are out, there will be different maps to run scav runs. Only having Valley and Farm right now is monotonous. And Armory doesn't have scavs nor is it the full Armory map sadly.
Just for the maps part of what you said, ABI is missing multiple maps atm. Northridge - larger than all the maps in ABI currently. 4 bigger POIs on it, 2 of them being major. Map is spread out and has different terrain. Port - an urban combat map. Smaller, lots of multi story buildings, couple major areas of combat, and the AI bots have some interesting things they do compared to other maps. Also the only map with booby traps. TV Station - a close range 2 floor map. Regarded at the most high value map in the game. Fights are intense. Up to 3 bosses spawn at once, with extremely dangerous guards. Map also has a large open middle area that has gas pumped into it at certain points during the game. Mines - 5x larger than Northridge. Has many more teams spawn on it. Only map that has cars available for use on it. ABI is also missing about 2 thirds of the armory map. There is an entire outdoor area you fight in before you can even get inside the armory.
Its not the fact that the natches are fair or not its the fact that you can buy your way straight to those hogh tier matches thus making the grind ultumately pointless. In an extraction style game being able to purchase in game currency fundamentaly ruins the experience.
Because? Of feelings? From my viewpoint, extraction FPS is about finding those rare items and it's about PvP, outplaying someone in a gunfight. I personally could care less if they bought their gear or not, whether they had to work for it or not. I care that I beat them, I get their stuff.

You know if it truly is the same in mobile then, everyone is going to be matched up based on the current amount of koen you have along side the value of your stash so if you buy koen to get rich your just buying yourself into a higher level match making, at least that’s how it works on mobile. You see someone wear T5-T6 and you don’t have proper ammo. Here’s what I’m gonna say. Are their faceplate T6? Are their face even protected. Or better yet, ARE THEIR LEGS T6??? T6 doesn’t make you immortal, beam someone enough they will die. You just need to play your cards right.
See someone wearing an IND70 and don't have T6 ammo, then based on what we know, that means you have a better chance shooting out the legs. All people have to do is develop game sense (ahem, skill) and they'll be able to fight a good fight.

Why do defenders of this crap always say only bad players buy their gear… what if a skilled team buy their gear, they’ll just annihilate the entire lobby. Or simply two players with the same skill, one buys their gear and the other is f2p with the basic gear, Guess who’ll come on top 9 times out of 10. At the end of the day is an unfair advantage, simple as that. And worse of all, the devs lied.
If you watch at 1:57 you'll see why it's not as big of a deal as you think it is. "9 times out of 10" they'll be facing squads using the same tier of gear.
i dont get how people compare grinding money to buying money and then claim its not P2W. making money, is part of winning the game. or what you get, when you win over someone else? EXP and money. better gear- better chances to survive and kill people . especially when 2 tap and 1 tap ammo exists on the flea, just like every other high lvl item. in ABI after unlocking fleamarket, only money matters. so if we take 2 equal bad players, let them play and one has a CC to swipe, the guy with the CC will overall survive more than the F2P guy. cuz he can run top of the line gear, while the other dont. which means the CC guy, can tank more shots. yes he might also die, but who survives rather a bullet and might kill the guy, lvl 3-4 timmy or lvl 6 gear timmy with ammo that 2 taps chest? people complained that tarkov is "scamming people" with unheard edition. yet even if i would had payed 250 bucks, i still would pay way less than playing ABI for 4 years (3 years active). 10 bucks a month for gamma container alone would put it to 400 bucks...
What happens separately between two players really doesn't matter (unless you're a leaderboard Chad). All that truly matters is that if and when those two players meet the pvp is fair (i.e. T5/6 vs T5/6). This is why there is Normal, Lockdown, Forbidden modes. Plus, buying items don't give you plus stats against the person using the same items. People don't want to believe the data because it comes from mobile, but Arena Breakout is one of the most 1 for 1 games for mobile/PC and the data shows that CC kids never even come to thought while playing. Not a single person I've played with has thought to themselves "I died, he must have paid for his gear". I would gladly scream to the sky "P2W" if there were items behind a paywall. But all items are accessible. The point is - buying with real money is overblown and pretty much a bandwagon at this point. Deprive yourself of a good game. Up to you.

@@spliffingrat5469 The maps are super limited during beta and early access. Once they have Farm/Valley/Northridge/Port/Armory/TV/Mine .... Things balance out. Even the current Armory isn't the full Armory too. Stacked players, if they want to make real good koen, they'll be playing TV and Armory Lockdown/Forbidden. On mobile, it's VERY rare to find a crazy stacked player unless they playing solo/duo and trying to knock out contact missions.

2 years of data has shown that it doesn't affect the economy. What can affect the economy? People who game the market and drive up prices (no really, I've seen it and seen people get banned for it). Keep in mind, high tier armor and ammo are quite accessible in AB. High tier fights are not uncommon. No safe case. That's where I can agree. I think a 1x2 safe case should be available through contact missions. 2x2 and 2x3 should be subscription.
How will it affect the economy? There are 3 things that protect it. One, all new items off the market or gear that you died with that was brought back by teammates in a match has an Operation Marker. It can not be listed in the market and can not be put in a safe case. It MUST be safely extracted to be out on market. Two, any gear you bring into a raid that a teammate picks up is returned to you. You can’t trade or do RMT. Three, the devs also balance the mark. As in ABI, the market is completely out of wack rn, but if you look at mobile, beta/early access/test versions are the same. Once actually released it will balance itself out. The devs also will adjust prices and ban players who attempt to inflate or maliciously hurt the market. They have gone a good job of this in mobile, no reason to not expect that in ABI.
Now yes no permanent safe case is BS. They really need to do what they have with the keys. For a certain contact (Evita) if you finish her missions, you get a permanent 2x3 keychain. They need to add the ability for to unlock a 2x2 or 2x1 keychain through a mission line.

And for the creator events you have to make the videos/streams and earn it. I even called out Tencent, their parents company for being shady, but MoreFun Studio itself has been making some genuinely fun games. Believe whatever you want. There is no way this game is "actually" p2w, first reason is what u talked about skill>Gear u also have to know that there is no solo mode in this game so doesn't matter if u buy koen and bring in a full t6 700k set if ur going against 2 people that have good coms and know the map better than u , the chances of them winning the fight is much higher same with going against a Squad even if its just a noob with high tier or a solo with good game skill the advantage is with who has better game sense, the third reason is RNG there can be 2 people having the same skills one is high tier the other is low tier yeah the higher tier guy has an advantage but there is also a chance that the lower tier guy (lets say t4 against t6) could hit that one Lucky shot which penetrates his armor because of RNG

If you can't tell, I'm old AF too. My first game was Kings Quest V on DOS. On PC I grew up playing DOOM, Counterstrike 1.3+, Day of Defeat, etc etc. This is the current climate though, and these transactions are how we get F2P AAA games. As I said in the video, I don't really support it, I think it's lazy monetization, BUT... The question I'm trying to answer is - is it p2w? No, buying koen doesn't give you +5 to damage per bullet, +10 to chest protection, +5 to vertical recoil. It simply gets you the gear and you must still have the skill to utilize that gear and with in a squad fight. And as I've pointed out in other comments. Unlike Tarkov (from what I've been told), high tier armor and ammo are pretty accessible. Having high tier pvp fights is quite common in Arena Breakout.
You cant buy enough ingame credits weekly/monthly if you lack skill,you will waste all in 30 min .But streamers will have a good time probably donation fuck all :D
its not the idea that it affects your fight its the predatory practice that someone will whale and be encouraged to do it. mobile games are famous for it, im hoping delta force will be better but both are tencent so who knows. but you are having fun thats fine im not a fan of the game play so i don't play ABI

Here’s the thing, people have been screaming from the rooftops that EFT’s game packages are P2W for a long time now, and that’s a one time purchase. With this, most of its paid subscriptions where as in other games you’d paid for the upgrade once or not at all. If you think EFT is P2W, this game is 10X worse than EFT with it being P2W.

The best weapons, ammo and gear are not lock behind a paywall. Just grind for koen. And you could actually grind for koen, win and thrive on this game without the secure container and keychain. Play, dont spend.
And paying for Koen doesn't unlock +plus stats on ammo/armor/or recoil. I will say, I wish they offered a free way to get a 1x2 case though. It'd help f2p players carry in 2 bundles of high tier ammo.
I'm currently sat at 0:00 of this video and I'm already telling you, yes it IS P2W in every literal sense of the term. Sure, skilled players will come out on top majority of the time assuming every single P2W player is dogshit, but I can guarantee you that will not be the case. The whales of the gaming industry will purchase gear no matter the skill. They could be shroud level of good at games and they will still buy gear. Not to mention the P2W features don't become obselete because the good players say shit like "it's fine, free gear for us" believe it or not but these games don't revolve around you, the game will die without the injection of new players, and if new players are getting ass fucked by whales who buy gear then they're uninstalling quicker than it took to actually install and then 4 months in all these players saying "free gear" are bitching on reddit that queue times take too long and the devs aren't doing enough.

Watch the video and at least consider that ABI runs a bit different from EFT and it actually works out just fine. There's 2 years of data that shows it's not as big of a deal as some would like to make it sound.

I think your idea of a gear value cap on normal mode is absolute gold. I've run into more thermals on normal mode than on lockdown and it makes no sense to me.

On mobile I've bounced between a couple million and 8 million. I no joke lost 6 million (no Koen purchased) in one night running nothing but T6 (bad choices were made).
Now I'm back to bouncing between 4 million and 6 million. I only sub to a 3x2 case because people said they'd donate a membership to find it 🤪
I'm curious is people would prefer it was a subscription game instead of a free game? Having a ton of nice gear does not make a person better at the game, everyone knows how easy a covert can ruin a T6's day.

The idea of running as a poor scav, meeting a fully decked out chad lvl 50+ and actually killing him, is such a good feeling.
This is not the case in ABI, because scavs ususally cant enter the high lvl matches.
So you have to GRIND as a scav and PMC in the "newbie" area...
Kinda takes the thrill out of it for me... I prefer the Tarkov way..

I'm just throwing this out there. I think it'd be awesome if you could get like a lockdown scav token. Say, you do a successful normal scav run, you get 1 token (and only one at a time) that you can use when you think you have the right scav gear to go into a Lockdown match to take down some higher T4/T5 players. 🤔

ABI does allow scav run in lockdown,but it's randomized.A way to know is to check for extra loot spots and different containers that only exist in lockdown(ex. there's an extra airdrop in Highway on Farm that only exist in lockdown and forbidden)
You also can still go into those high value matches running a low tier kit. You obviously are out at a disadvantage as most players are likely using T5/T6. But you do see some players doing it, and it’s not like it’s a ridiculously rare thing either. You see it.
There is a minimum value you need to enter LD/FB, but it’s pretty dang low for both. T3 or even some T2kits depending on your gun will get you to that minimum value.
You also do see higher tier kits run in normal matches, however it’s a much rarer basis.

Precisely, ABI has a much higher emphasis on pvp. That's also why the spawns are somewhat close together. Action off the rip.
Newer players and veteran extract players don't realize how accessible high tier armor is. It's quite easy to grind the Koen needed for it.
I think the biggest problem is the market not having level caps for items. Like at lvl 3 you unlock the market and with the gunsmith you can get any weapon and fully modify it and get the best equipment with the market. I got killed by a lvl 4 player walking around with gear worth 800k. Thats ridicoulous 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

There is SOME unlocking you have to do with contacts, but you can definitely buy a stupidly expensive set out of the gate.

Game balances high tier geared players...so if said mediocre player buys high tier gear with koens he also bought with real money, he'd get matched with also high tier geared players(mediocre players who also bought their gear and players that are skilled with high tier gear also).. wether this high tier geared players are skilled or not is the question. Their gears cancel each other out, what's left is the player himself. The skilled player makes a killing of all those fools with deep pockets ("It's the pilot not the plane" -Top Gun Maverick )

I think for them it comes down to feelings. I earned my gear, the person who used real currency didn't. But if your in a LD or FZ game with similarly tiered players, it just comes down to skill.
Pay 2 Win kind of lost its weight since everyone uses it all the time as soon as you can get as much as a snickers if you pay 1$.
Paying for gear in a game is a shortcut, which does not give you any advantage. You get the same gear others get, you just get it easier, but lose it as easily.
And if you don't got the skill to keep/earn this gear yourself, you're just a pinata for people who have skill.
Even Tarkov, calling the big editions pay to win does not make your gun have infinite ammo or your PMC immortal. You still die to one bullshit shot to the throat from a shotgun 100 meters away.
I remember back in the day playing games like GunZ The Duel, Gunbound or Combat Arms. Those games, were not technically pay to win, but if you had a "free" gun, against a paid gun, in a 1v1, you most often lost due to the stats they had and the ridiculous balance which encouraged people to just pay for literally better gear. A lot of older gamers learned about online games through these old FTP games and got used to it so seeing someone cry that "Ohh you can pay to get gear" is Pay2Win... nah, they're just making scammy companies even richer with an ez shortcut.

I am agree with value cap for gear in normal mode, but only normal mode that has Covert ops run available for it. Play it yesterday and I manage to kill some T6 that opening locked door for me using Molotov as a Covert and it feels like I was hitting a jackpot. although I lost much many koens it still makes me happy to do it at least once. With value cap I think it still fun but will close the possibility like getting T7 as a dead cheap Covert.
Fair. I think that value cap should be put into the FB/LD modes. You see super skilled or super dumb players running like T2/3 in those modes sometimes and that gets annoying. Keeping normal as true “randomness” as to who you fight would be nice for come ups in coverts.

My problem is that the game grind is so slow on purpose in terms of making money that it frustrates players to buying money. I have not spent a cent on the game yet I find the grind for money and gear slow even on higher difficulty. This game has many good things going for it, let hope they don't fumble the ball. I think quality of life is better, shooting is responsive, but they need to add more. The stuff that's available in early accesses is limiting, market needs work and looking at what's available on mobile, the game could have a good future. It just needs to do so in timely and efficient manner. If we had even 2 or 3 more maps the players could spread out. People go to farm to pick on lower level players and its obvious. As a solo I often watch as one guy with T6 gear kills a whole squad does not even loot them and runs off. So I feel they need to gear cap the normal area or people are just going to leave. With no wipes announced either the gear difference will get worse as time goes on as well until you have to opt in to buy kemonens just to catch up or stand on a better ground.
Are you checking Deke 4 times a day? I've been making hella bank just checking Deke 2-3x time a day and buying and reselling.
On top of that, you'll find cheap combinations of armor and ammo that'll make you money.
And once all the maps are out, there will be different maps to run scav runs. Only having Valley and Farm right now is monotonous. And Armory doesn't have scavs nor is it the full Armory map sadly.
Just for the maps part of what you said, ABI is missing multiple maps atm.
Northridge - larger than all the maps in ABI currently. 4 bigger POIs on it, 2 of them being major. Map is spread out and has different terrain.
Port - an urban combat map. Smaller, lots of multi story buildings, couple major areas of combat, and the AI bots have some interesting things they do compared to other maps. Also the only map with booby traps.
TV Station - a close range 2 floor map. Regarded at the most high value map in the game. Fights are intense. Up to 3 bosses spawn at once, with extremely dangerous guards. Map also has a large open middle area that has gas pumped into it at certain points during the game.
Mines - 5x larger than Northridge. Has many more teams spawn on it. Only map that has cars available for use on it.
ABI is also missing about 2 thirds of the armory map. There is an entire outdoor area you fight in before you can even get inside the armory.

Its not the fact that the natches are fair or not its the fact that you can buy your way straight to those hogh tier matches thus making the grind ultumately pointless. In an extraction style game being able to purchase in game currency fundamentaly ruins the experience.

Why do defenders of this crap always say only bad players buy their gear… what if a skilled team buy their gear, they’ll just annihilate the entire lobby. in ABI after unlocking fleamarket, only money matters. so if we take 2 equal bad players, let them play and one has a CC to swipe, the guy with the CC will overall survive more than the F2P guy. cuz he can run top of the line gear, while the other dont. which means the CC guy, can tank more shots. yes he might also die, but who survives rather a bullet and might kill the guy, lvl 3-4 timmy or lvl 6 gear timmy with ammo that 2 taps chest?

yet even if i would had payed 250 bucks, i still would pay way less than playing ABI for 4 years (3 years active). 10 bucks a month for gamma container alone would put it to 400 bucks...
What happens separately between two players really doesn't matter (unless you're a leaderboard Chad). All that truly matters is that if and when those two players meet the pvp is fair (i.e. T5/6 vs T5/6). This is why there is Normal, Lockdown, Forbidden modes. Plus, buying items don't give you plus stats against the person using the same items.
People don't want to believe the data because it comes from mobile, but Arena Breakout is one of the most 1 for 1 games for mobile/PC and the data shows that CC kids never even come to thought while playing. Not a single person I've played with has thought to themselves "I died, he must have paid for his gear".
I would gladly scream to the sky "P2W" if there were items behind a paywall. But all items are accessible.
The point is - buying with real money is overblown and pretty much a bandwagon at this point.

@@spliffingrat5469 The maps are super limited during beta and early access. Once they have Farm/Valley/Northridge/Port/Armory/TV/Mine .... Things balance out.
Even the current Armory isn't the full Armory too.
Stacked players, if they want to make real good koen, they'll be playing TV and Armory Lockdown/Forbidden.
On mobile, it's VERY rare to find a crazy stacked player unless they playing solo/duo and trying to knock out contact missions.

2 years of data has shown that it doesn't affect the economy. What can affect the economy? People who game the market and drive up prices (no really, I've seen it and seen people get banned for it).
Keep in mind, high tier armor and ammo are quite accessible in AB. High tier fights are not uncommon.
No safe case. That's where I can agree. I think a 1x2 safe case should be available through contact missions. 2x2 and 2x3 should be subscription.
How will it affect the economy?
There are 3 things that protect it.
One, all new items off the market or gear that you died with that was brought back by teammates in a match has an Operation Marker. It can not be listed in the market and can not be put in a safe case. It MUST be safely extracted to be out on market.
Two, any gear you bring into a raid that a teammate picks up is returned to you. You can’t trade or do RMT.
Three, the devs also balance the mark. As in ABI, the market is completely out of wack rn, but if you look at mobile, beta/early access/test versions are the same. Once actually released it will balance itself out. The devs also will adjust prices and ban players who attempt to inflate or maliciously hurt the market. They have gone a good job of this in mobile, no reason to not expect that in ABI.
Now yes no permanent safe case is BS. They really need to do what they have with the keys. For a certain contact (Evita) if you finish her missions, you get a permanent 2x3 keychain. They need to add the ability for to unlock a 2x2 or 2x1 keychain through a mission line.
Should bring up the contracts they sent out. If your allowed too and didnt sign it.

There is no way this game is "actually" p2w, first reason is what u talked about skill>Gear u also have to know that there is no solo mode in this game so doesn't matter if u buy koen and bring in a full t6 700k set if ur going against 2 people that have good coms and know the map better than u , the chances of them winning the fight is much higher same with going against a Squad even if its just a noob with high tier or a solo with good game skill the advantage is with who has better game sense, the third reason is RNG there can be 2 people having the same skills one is high tier the other is low tier yeah the higher tier guy has an advantage but there is also a chance that the lower tier guy (lets say t4 against t6) could hit that one Lucky shot which penetrates his armor because of RNG
I've been in so many situations being solo t6 good at the game but once u go against an experienced team ur getting clapped no matter how skilled or how much gear u brought it
A superior squad remains a superior squad. Whether purchased or earned.

Like everything above epic =pay and block it from koen buy? I forgot about some special perks, only by paying a little, just a little. Not to forget that even a 2x2 safe container is only sub. Yeah, no safe 2x2 for you my buddy. Oh you have a key? Nah, you can't have that either without paying. Tencent is pushing p2w as far as he can. And I am amazed that people defend that.
Maybe I am OLD AF '94, and I played online pvp games without this shit, that's why everything right now is just big BS for me.

over 4000 hours in tarkov with high kd, pvp focused. I would never choose to play against smb with unlimited money in stash, it's just not fun. Progression is OUT OF THE FUCKING WINDOW. Because people don't have to do quests, farm or do anything else. For what, when they can swipe card and buy everything.
If you can't tell, I'm old AF too. My first game was Kings Quest V on DOS. On PC I grew up playing DOOM, Counterstrike 1.3+, Day of Defeat, etc etc.
This is the current climate though, and these transactions are how we get F2P AAA games. As I said in the video, I don't really support it, I think it's lazy monetization, BUT...
The question I'm trying to answer is - is it p2w? No, buying koen doesn't give you +5 to damage per bullet, +10 to chest protection, +5 to vertical recoil. It simply gets you the gear and you must still have the skill to utilize that gear and with in a squad fight.
And as I've pointed out in other comments. Unlike Tarkov (from what I've been told), high tier armor and ammo are pretty accessible. Having high tier pvp fights is quite common in Arena Breakout.
I can buy t6 with h4 and m995 but that won't stop a covert rat to leg meta me, personally in games like these p2w doesn't really matter

In Tarkov you get a good advantage with EoD or Unheard. But, it's not a recurring payment and you can't just access the best loot by spending more money. That's the difference. ABI is totally pay to win. Not saying people can't have fun. Just that it's always going to be an uphill battle if you are not spending cash. The disadvantage is huge in ABI. The secure container being a huge advantage. The extra koin at any time for gear. I dunno man. Sounds pay to win to me

Here’s the thing, people have been screaming from the rooftops that EFT’s game packages are P2W for a long time now, and that’s a one time purchase. With this, most of its paid subscriptions where as in other games you’d paid for the upgrade once or not at all. If you think EFT is P2W, this game is 10X worse than EFT with it being P2W.

The best weapons, ammo and gear are not lock behind a paywall. Just grind for koen. And you could actually grind for koen, win and thrive on this game without the secure container and keychain. Play, dont spend.
And paying for Koen doesn't unlock +plus stats on ammo/armor/or recoil.
I will say, I wish they offered a free way to get a 1x2 case though. It'd help f2p players carry in 2 bundles of high tier ammo.
I'm currently sat at 0:00 of this video and I'm already telling you, yes it IS P2W in every literal sense of the term. Sure, skilled players will come out on top majority of the time assuming every single P2W player is dogshit, but I can guarantee you that will not be the case. The whales of the gaming industry will purchase gear no matter the skill. They could be shroud level of good at games and they will still buy gear. Not to mention the P2W features don't become obselete because the good players say shit like "it's fine, free gear for us" believe it or not but these games don't revolve around you, the game will die without the injection of new players, and if new players are getting ass fucked by whales who buy gear then they're uninstalling quicker than it took to actually install and then 4 months in all these players saying "free gear" are bitching on reddit that queue times take too long and the devs aren't doing enough.
