Flying foxes at Sydney Botanic Gardens

Grey-headed flying foxes are often seen in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. Known as fruit bats, these mammals have the largest body size of all bats. Weighing up to 1 kg, their wings can span one metre or more. These megabats were filmed during a visit to the Botanic Gardens during late afternoon on 9 January 2012.
