Shrek the Musical is a musical with music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire. It is based on the 2001 DreamWorks Animation film Shrek, along with elements of its sequels: Shrek 2, Shrek Forever After and William Steig's 1990 book Shrek!. The principal cast included Brian d'Arcy James as Shrek, Sutton Foster as Princess Fiona, Sieber as Lord Farquaad, Chester Gregory II as Donkey, John Tartaglia as Pinocchio and Kecia Lewis-Evans as the Dragon.

I’ve always thought how they make Sutton foster look like an ogre in less than 20 seconds

Sutton exits the stage halfway through the church marriage scene and is replaced with a covered face lookalike. She has a couple of minutes to get into ogre which happens with a team of 4 people painting green on bare skin, she gets changed clothes and puts on some prosthetics which are already green and she's ready.

I think its becuse donkys legs hade like a wide think partat the top so its replecating the legs of a real donky
