JK is the main vocalist of the immensely talented group BTS. All 7 members (3 rappers and 4 vocalists) are fantastic as soloists and as a group. They are all multi-talented as well, including with writing, producing, and dancing. Whatever preconceived notions you have about BTS should go out the window because they are not what people assume. 💜

71 year old BTS Army here. The "J" is pronounced like a "J". Jung Kook or JK for short is the main vocalist and youngest member of the 7 member group BTS. None of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This one, however, is an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. No green screen. There is a photo online if the exterior with that that cool glass room. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others.
His self professed dream of being a giant pop star is clearly beginning in a big way! BTW, there are now 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version.
His first solo single "Seven Feat Latto" has just gone Platinum and is the fastest song in history to reach 1 billion streams. His second solo single is "3D Feat Jack Harlow". It is also a mega hit. This is his third single and as I mentioned, all are on his solo album "Golden".

Oh my God, I loved your reaction. You just made my day! I hope you do go down the rabbit hole. BTS definitely deserve a chance and you would not regret the time you spend on them. All 7 members are super-talented and each serves their own specific purpose in the group in terms of group positions. Their own solo projects are also fire, I promise you will not regret delving into their discography (or even their interviews/shows). Whenever I have a bad day or want to watch something to lift me up, I just watch an episode of their variety show, which is called Run BTS (not to be confused with the songs 'Run' and 'Run BTS') or listen to a hype song. A good start for you would be 'Mic Drop' from 2017 or if you want something more recent the 'ON Kinetic Manifesto: Come Prima' is also great. Both of these videos have amazing choreography! Oh, and they sound the same, if not better, when they sing and dance live 😏 For me, most of the times, I prefer the live performance of a song than the recorded one... Really loved your reaction. I won’t repeat what everyone else said other than all seven members of BTS are amazing talents alone and as a group. JK is my bias and I am extremely proud of him, as I am with the others. We are witnessing history. I believe JK will go down in history as being instrumental of many changes in Korean culture: from helping break the barrier and pigeon hole Western music has put K-Pop artist into, to subjects and words used in their music to having a full sleeve and piercings and now proudly displaying them. I bought his album for family members who have no interest in even learning about K-Pop as an investment because I truly believe this first album is historical. JK has written some beautiful songs dedicated to Army (the fans) in Korean with a little English. They are nothing like this, but beautiful. Try “Still With You” or “My Time”(about his life growing up in the spotlight and wanting to know when his time will come to be him). if you react to this, choose the one with the dance break. There are lots of good videos solely about JK on Ida S’s channel, from rap and dance compilations. There is one about his being the main vocalist that is very interesting and one about him being the Golden Maknae (youngest)-showing how he is good at everything he does.

Jungkook album came out 11/3/23 called "GOLDEN" . He did a special concert for NY Time Square. They notified this concert 1hr before it started only. You can pull it up at Time Square..
Jungkook sings with a group called BTS from South Korea, it's the biggest Global group in the world right.
All South Korean males have to do "Mandatory Military Service" each from 18mos-2yrs.
So the group decided to do solo albums since they're all enlisting different times, all 7 members are now enlisted Including Jungkook, he enlisted 12/13/23.
Each member have already debuted there solo album. Jungkook is the last and youngest to finish his album, that's why he's everywhere now before he enlists.
Each member had the freedom to do any kind of album they wanted to.
Jungkook wanted Pop style in all English album.
The group will be back together in 2025 everyone should finish military service by then.
Each members solo album name and year release:

2) Jin* 2022 "ASTRONAUT" single song finishing album after discharge.

They have been together over ten years, but in Korea the men have to go into mandatory military service. Two other members have already entered the service Jin and JHope they and the others RM, Jimin, Suga and V are all equally as talented in fact all seven are multi talented. You should see the last thing they did as a group, on Bangtantv (choreography) Dance practice Run BTS this is awesome but make sure its dance practice because they have a tv show called RUN BTS also watch the practice instead of the stage performance you can see all of the dance moves that way. Then on Suga who's a genius has his solo about the mad king is his alter geo, he kills him in order to go solo his rap is amazing, it's at HYBE on youtube Then Jimin has a amazing solo called "Set Me Free" PT- 2 Official MV, There are many more but these are outstanding.

They have been in the music business for 10 years. But the American music industry has not played their music, and have played them down, to be just another kpop fluff boy band. This group consists of 3 rappers and 4 vocal singers. They often times combine the singers with the rappers in their songs. And it turns out fantastic!!!! Because they write their own music. JK just the other night did an un-announced free concert at Times Square. Army (as we are called for BTS) only had 30 minutes’ notice but thousands showed up. Google BTS and watch on RUclips as they are massively viewed. Listen to his latest Seven and 3D w/Jack Harlow.
Glad you enjoyed our beloved Jungkook , he’s truly talented. Him and the rest of BTS will really entertain you. They are all talented and they work their ass off to satisfy their Army (fan base). Jung kook as is John Cook is the way to say his name. He's part of the Global Groups BTS the only group in the top 10 global Artist list. The last song off his Album Golden has already gone Platinium the song with SEVEN featuring Latto. it was announced on the Jimmy fallon show where he was a guest and preformed Standing Next To You live.

Don't worry about mispronouncing! Lots of us are non-Korean BTS fans who made mistakes and had to learn how to pronounce their names... What's really funny is that several of them have sort of 'adopted' the westernized pronunciation of their names and use them all the time with each other....For example, in perfect & proper Korean, Jungkook's name is pronounced with barely a hint of the 'K' sound at the very end of his name, in fact it sounds more like the start of a hard 'G' sound that never finishes, almost like his name sounds like 'Jungkoo'....But now he and all the other members in the BTS just say it like we do in the western world, with the hard 'K' sound at the end of his name
