- This is our second visit to the Palmer Town Hall in Palmer, Massachusetts! The first visit, Ryan McNutt, the town manager, said he didn't care about people's rights and called the cops on us! Since then, a Town Council Member reached out to me to say things have gotten worse, not better! And boy, were they right! CORRECTION: THE WOMAN IN THE TAX OFFICE THAT LIED ABOUT NOT WANTING TO BE IN PICTURES AND DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE HER NAME IS SHELBY LAMOTHE!

Not sure what this comment means. I hope you're not suggesting that people who work in courthouses and town halls make 5 to 10 times more than people in the private sector. If that's what you're saying, then you could not be further from the truth. Most of them make MUCH, MUCH LESS than private sector workers, some barely above minimum wage. But, I guess it is emotionally satisfying for uninformed keyboard warriors to just 'say anything' with absolutely no facts to back it up. Nearly all public, full-time workers have high-deductible healthcare plans with big co-pays AND they have to contribute money from their paychecks to pay the premiums. Public works employees where I live make about $15 per hour before taxes. After paying those, they pay over $100 every two weeks for health insurance and they are forced to pay union dues. According to your statements, a similar worker in the private sector would make $1.50 to $3.00 per hour. Not likely! But that's OK, facts don't matter when nobody calls you out on them, right? You can just 'say anything' and someone will give you the old 'thumbs up'.

Josh and Anna, don't you ever wonder if some of these videos feel like you have to "twist the arms" of the other employees in order to get them to voice some sympathy (or at least lip service as "sympathy") to you guys (a.k.a. "fishing for sympathy," sort of like "fishing for compliments")? "That was mean of him, right?" "Did you think that was pretty bad of him?" etc. It seems to me like it's that way, almost like when cops solicit bans: "Would you say those guys were disturbing the peace? They were, right? And would you say they were hurting your feelings and/or disrupting your business? They were, right? So then you want them banned, don't you? Well we agree, so we will go and ban them 'FOR YOU'!" Doesn't that ever sound kind of like you're being sort of needy? How did your 1AA brand get developed around that, whereas other 1AAs don't tend to do that?

When a private person rents a hotel room, their entitled to 1st, 4th, etc amendment rights.
Similarly if the government is renting space within a building and public servants are conducting business on our behalf, you can film our government in the course of their duties.

While I understand you can record public servants, I was more trying to find out about them renting a unit inside of a private building...can the entire building prevent you from filming or can you just start filming once you enter the space the public entity is using?
