I feel like even though she was only 12 in her first movie, she was never a "child actress" and never will be. She was nominated for an Oscar for it too, pretty incredible for any actor, regardless of age. She has such diversity in her films too and amazing with accents. As well as beautiful and well spoken, definitely one of my favorites!
Saoirse is one of a kind. She is wise, beautiful, and talented. I thought of her as a simple girl living an extraordinary life, now i think it's the other way around.
This woman is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on. I just watched her new romantic drama film Brooklyn & loved it. I am a 27 year old man too.
Dear Miss Ronan, you are very beautiful and sweet. Please, please don't let Hollywood ruin you like so many in the past. Good luck to you on your career. I know you will go far.
At first, I was a bit upset with just how different it was to the book, because it focuses less on Daisy and Edmond and more on the war and Daisy's all bitchy and people die who aren't supposed to but when you separate it from the book, you realise just how fantastic it is. I think it's brilliant and it almost kind of depressed me which only really amazing movies and books do. Plus Saoirse Ronan is incredible ALL THE TIME.
Really liked the movie, so much more than the novel. I felt like the screenwriters took it further than originally intended by the author. And the result was much better.
She is my favorite actress but I wish she had better roles in bigger movies. The plots of her movies do not really interest me or they are low budget. But she is major eye candy I would like to see more of her.
That scene at 4.48, when the shock wave of the nuclear blast comes through, gave me nightmares. I'm 66 years old and grew up with the real fear of a nuclear strike. I've watched Threads and several other "bomb" stories but the scene in this movie was the one to stir that dread right back up again. The entire film is very good and not specifically a Young Adult film.
it was a really good film (nicly shot i felt) but it felt like there was so many unawsewered questions! what hapened to the mother? daisy and eddie were still cousins!! what was the whole war about and (SPOILER) how did the kid with the glasses die? i wonder if it's more explained in the book.....but still a good film
He was probably captured with all the other people you saw in the pile of bodies at the Gatesfield base by the enemy and lined up then shot - mass execution, it's called. What's even more sad about that is that it happens a lot during war in the real world.
I like the sound she makes with her mouth-doohickey. I wish I was born Irish... I just have a vague Irish heritage. And even that is black Irish, which I still don't know if that counts as legit Irish.
she looks skinnier in the movie than in her other movie the host,.but it was made in the same year,i'm just curious ....and by the way the movie is great and Saoirse is the best..
Its pronounced Seer-sha, but that is the Irish way, she prefers Sir-sha, GOD I LOVE HER!!!, shesmy favourite actror, no need to narrow it down to actress, so talented and beautiful
Saoirse is pronounced in subtly different ways depending on the particular regional Irish accent. However, if you were to say ‘seer-sha’ to any Irish person they would know exactly what you mean. Saoirse is the Irish Gaelic word for ‘freedom’.
+haj1126 - Specifically, Ronan is Irish, with Irish Parents. Though born in the USA, she moved back to Ireland when very young. She was raised just outside of Dublin, Ireland - so she has a regional Irish accent as well. In my opinion, it is not the most poetic sounding of Irish accents but she is a very fine actress and seems to be quite a genuine person, not given to artifice.
Saoirse is great--I think she has the most interesting face to watch! Just did a spoiler-free review/analysis about her new film Brooklyn here: ruclips.net/video/Ke4Kv5geLUQ/видео.html
ugh, I can't with her. She can't possibly be human. There is no way a human being can be so beautiful and so perfect.
STFU! you sound pathetic
I know right, she is amazing. I am in love with her!!!! She is modest, she is beautiful, she is outright amazing!!! I love her!!

And the next Meryl Streep in the next 40 years
It is a beautiful movie
Everytime I see her, she kind of resembles Sansa from GoT. Both are hot.

I came here fr Saoirse then I saw SPIDERMAN!!
it was a really good film (nicly shot i felt) but it felt like there was so many unawsewered questions! what hapened to the mother? daisy and eddie were still cousins!! what was the whole war about and (SPOILER) how did the kid with the glasses die? i wonder if it's more explained in the book.....but still a good film
the kid with the glasses (Isaac) died because there was a massacre in the camp he was in. that was the saddest part for me :(
it was really unexpected and sad :( :(
He was probably captured with all the other people you saw in the pile of bodies at the Gatesfield base by the enemy and lined up then shot - mass execution, it's called. What's even more sad about that is that it happens a lot during war in the real world.
I read the book before watching it, and it really explains everything a lot more :)
ye my sister said she read it for school and it was rreally good! has it got the same name?
Piper was--after Saoirse--my favorite character.
She was so annoying though
I like the sound she makes with her mouth-doohickey. I wish I was born Irish... I just have a vague Irish heritage. And even that is black Irish, which I still don't know if that counts as legit Irish.
very good !!!
Seems she does a passable American accent. Love her normal accent.
No one's mentioning TOM HOLLAND?
he wasn’t a big star back then and all these comments are old
Her eyes are sooo blue
Oh shit I didn't know she had an accent
Everybody has an accent.
she looks skinnier in the movie than in her other movie the host,.but it was made in the same year,i'm just curious ....and by the way the movie is great and Saoirse is the best..
Great movie
i want to marry her

Anyone remember her from the city of ember
I knew she looked familiar while watching the movie. That City of ember movie was also good.
shes hotter with an american accent the irish just sounds funny to me ha..
How do you pronounce her first name?
it's pronounced Seer-sha
thanks mate :D
Its pronounced Seer-sha, but that is the Irish way, she prefers Sir-sha, GOD I LOVE HER!!!, shesmy favourite actror, no need to narrow it down to actress, so talented and beautiful

Who's the acter ? 😍
What's this accent she's using? I'm foreign to English and I'm sure it's not one of the kinds I've ever heard of.
+haj1126 Hello! Saoirse Ronan was born in New York, but grew up in Ireland, in County Carlow and Dublin. So her accent is Irish.
+Film4 More specifically, it's a Dublin accent...
Irish

Yes.
+Ash Attack Gaming step cousin ;)
And?
That was the neighbor she said
Wow ewww
is it real???
Just watched it.. was okay, could have been better.
is it just me or her accent is very similar to a new zeland accent?
She's from Ireland
shes smrt, i thought the same way
Love her and this movie. I'm done.
I both loved and was disappointed with this movie
The story line was just a bit too broken up and weak for me. TWTWB did a better job on the story, but still wasn't as good as the books
