As a Joseph's main, this match meant a lot to me. It's not common to see him in the tourney much less on winning so to see the miracle happened like this is just exciting as well as helping us to learn from it. Thanks a lot for translating it for us.

5:29 I can't with Chinese commentators, they are so GOOD, even including the persona and knowing, incredible game sense, this is also why netease hires Chinese commentators but they have high requirements, like tier 7 and above for example and good speaking skills
A lot of commentators are also long-termed retired players or current coaches. The speaking skills also have to extend to be entertaining for long periods of time without break which seems like hell on earth to consistently talk for hours straight.

Yup, its also gives them better game sense as a lot of them are badged hunters/survivors and can theorize more accurately on what plays will be. Many are coaches for prominent professional teams too.

to be fair, he used to be top 1 joseph in cn for two years (now the top1 is Yuelan, who was in COA3) and in COA2 ymm did miraculous 4k with teleport joseph too. however ymm went professional and have been sticking to the meta since then, different to Yuelan who brought Joseph in every first round in COA3 despite knowing the disadvantage of the character in competition. so both of them are well known and respected mostly due to their jojo in cn
I wish I could attend a tournament like that in-live too... Being around people who like IDV as much as me and not being afraid or ashamed of exposing too much emotions over "just a game"
This is the best game tbh but the only thing it ruins it is toxic people and cipher rush without that is good I always play when I'm depressed and with my favorite 2 hunters

This match makes me so happy... As a photographer main, it's amazing to see that it isn't impossible to play him in tournaments. I'm going to watch this every time I feel unmotivated. Seeing everyone get so excited to see Joseph succeed is just beautiful and makes me want to play him more and more each time I watch!
I mean it almost is impossible his skills are on another level. The game sense prediction is insane. There's a reason why he's not picked that's all I'm saying. Still don't let me stop you from playing I love Joseph so gooooo ❤
This match, that one XROCK clown play, and ppxia's gamekeeper will always be on my top favorite tournament hunter plays. I would love to see more successful nonmeta hunter plays

@@lucassminecraft I think its the best finals in IVL so far. The results, overall score was just 1 point ahead for the champion. The final match was a push and pull between the two. So amazing

I kid you not when i saw that Joseph only picked trump card i started sweating,when a Joseph doesn't bring detention on high tiers is because he *knows* he will get at least a draw.
to be fair the trend in cn high tier joseph now is to not bring detention. but the compinaison of trump card at beginning+only trump card is indead very extreme. (usually it is blink+ trump card only or teleport + detention)
As someone who is somewhat new to the game and decided to be a Joseph main this literally has me excited and taking down notes
"...or even sacrifice a teammate" this is me in every match tbh. I'm always surprised to see coord in tournaments because after her flare she's completely useless, even more if the hunter has excitement or goes behind an object.
I don't play Joseph a lot but it's so nice seeing him get a 4k. Any hunter can get a 4k if they have a good player.

I think this is one of the best two matches in IDV history(The other is ppxia's gamekeeper in coa4).

It is so sad that when a no Mera hunter wins it is a "miracle". We should definitely change this boring ahh meta.
It’s because Joseph rarely gets picked and win even less, i think only 2 out of 10 have been wins and both of them are ymm’s. Generally the nonmeta doesnt get too shine all that often cus they get hardcountered but there are moments when nonmeta hunters get picked to counter a meta team comp like running percy against a transition and harass heavy team.
