Each time I listen to brilliant teachings from women on the pulpit, I wonder why alot of christans say women are not allowed to preach but should "keep silent in church"Somebody should make me understand this scripture please.
Lack of indepth knowledge about the bible makes christians distort the scriptures. Yes it was said women should keep quiet in church according to the context under which the church was at that time. it was a church with a lot of problems and so apostle Paul was trying to set in-order in the church. Its was not a holistic view that women in all generations must not talk in church. ok , come to think of it; the instruction was for them to keep quiet and ask their husbands at home if they do not understand something. Each time I listen to brilliant teachings from women on the pulpit, I wonder why alot of christans say women are not allowed to preach but should "keep silent in church"Somebody should make me understand this scripture please.
Lack of indepth knowledge about the bible makes christians distort the scriptures. Yes it was said women should keep quiet in church according to the context under which the church was at that time. it was a church with a lot of problems and so apostle Paul was trying to set in-order in the church. Its was not a holistic view that women in all generations must not talk in church. ok , come to think of it; the instruction was for them to keep quiet and ask their husbands at home if they do not understand something. So for those who are single women, who are they suppose to ask? or should they be the ones to talk? The days of patriarchy is over.!!! we will preach whether they like it or not.
