If you are embroidering with a thick layer of 3d foam (typically 2 to 3 millimeters), consider raising your presser foot to 1.5 to 2 millimeters to accommodate for this extra layer.
Thanks for all your great instructional videos on the machines, but were do go to learn how to create the logos and design settings to make these great looking designs ?

Do you have to change the settings on the Ricoma machine when embroidering Puff? Every time I do it, it just smashes the puff down to where you can't see it's there. I have the MT series. Thanks
@@ricomatv Embroidery get's snagged, 3d puff especially. Plus the foam is prone to slipping out from between threads if the satin stitch is wide enough.
Hi Giancarlo, the process for 3d puff embroidery on sweaters would be the same as how we embroidered this beanie (it's a knitwear with the same textured and stretchy characteristics). Good luck! Let us know is you have any other questions.
Hi Connor, your best bet would be with the 8-in-1 hoop with thicker needles and run your machine at a low speed. Depending on the design and material of the tag you may have to adjust tension. Again with every project, just do little tweaks here and there until you get it just right. Good luck!!!
I have never seen anyone demo this before. Thank you.
So glad you found this video helpful!
@@ricomatv Yes I did.Thank you

How high should you adjust the pressor foot for 3d puff embroidery of a structured hat?

Where do. Buy ?
You can buy any standard foam at and craft store, like Michaels, Joan fabrics, hobby lobby etc. or on online stores like allstitch.com
Thank you
No problem! Thanks for watching :)
Can you use a heat press instead of the heat gun ?
Technically you could, just gotta make sure you put a teflon sheet over the beanie and the temp not be so hot.
It would be nice to have a written sheet on needle application
Thanks for the idea! We'll look into creating one, in the meantime we have an episode all about needles: ruclips.net/video/lor0UDgPvY4/видео.html
How does it hold up over time?
The best part about embroidery is there's no wear and tear, it remains in tact forever.
