    I did originally get this about a week ago but with the m3 coming I returned it and just went with the newer model. Glad I was able to exchange it in time for this release as the m3 is a bit more capable and nicer. Worth the $100 difference. This is a great honest review and not like others at all. A lot of the other reviews you see for such items they feel the need to tell you to upgrade basically everything, IMO if you are going to upgrade the Air you might as well save a bit longer and go for a decked out pro model.

    Hi. Apple is coming out with m3 macs on 31st October. So m1 might be phased out and m2 air 13 inch might come to current m1 air's price point. So m2 might be a good deal for late 2023.. just my thoughts..

    • @kennynunez
      @kennynunez  Год назад +2

      The m2 MacBook Air is also on sale for $900 but they’ll both still be great options going into 2024. The m3 MacBook Air probably won’t come out for a few more months. It’s looking like just the m3 iMac and MacBook pro’s coming next week

    • @MKIVD

      Nah my 2018 Macbook Pro is even supported to this day, granted 2023 will be the last year it will see a major release like Sonoma. Next year, it will be the 2019 Macbook Pro's last year in major release support.
      The year after that is 2020's time to go. But I think the 2020 M1 macs will enjoy the same treatment as the 2012 Macbook Pros where they still sold them till around 2016. The Macbook Air M1 is still sold on Apple's website. That in itself tells that this will not be phased out anytime soon. The day Apple discontinues the M1 Air will be the day where we start to count 4 years of further support

    Debating whether to get this or the mba m2. Do you think it can work with multiple tabs like 25 or more chrome tabs, discord, slack, and sometimes Photoshop running simultaneously? Thanks!

    • @kennynunez
      @kennynunez  Год назад +1

      The chrome tabs should be fine but once you start running all those apps at the same time, you might start having issues. Individually they will all work fine but 8gb of ram might not be enough for all of them. I would suggest looking into 16gb of ram for either m1 or m2 especially if you plan to have this MacBook for years. 8gb may actually be enough for now but it may not be enough in 2-3 years for you. 16gb would future-proof your MacBook

    I have a question that only so far one tech RUclipsr answered for me clearly out of the dozen I messaged.
    First Question:
    Is buying the “M1 Macbook Air” in 2024 as of Spring 2024 financially smart with this machine being soon to be four years old this year?
    General Facts or Opinions:
    Apple normally does updates for laptops 5 years or 6-7 years some have said. The base model for the “M1 MacBook Air” from Walmart is not meant for users who are in the digital arts at 8gb of Ram and 256gb of Storage, but simply to me in my own opinion a daily use model for web browsing, some tv shows/movies and document writing. People have been trying to resell this exact base model even online these last couple of weeks.
    I returned mine and just putting money up to get what I need and what would last.
    Second Question:
    If considered, is it worth getting the maxed out version of this laptop in Spring 2024?

    • @lunarosa321
      @lunarosa321 8 месяцев назад +1

      Question 1 is my question too

    • @365tonkatruckfit2
      @365tonkatruckfit2 8 месяцев назад

      @@lunarosa321 I only had two RUclipsrs give me straight forward answers on this and I only believed them, because they have several MacBooks of their own over the years plus people from Reddit gave me advice along with Best Buy/Micro Centers. I literally drove to get research, because yeah it is an investment and no need to purchase a laptop that you may have to buy again. Now I am not saying you may have to upgrade from the M1 buying it in 2024, but go with what is best long term for you so you can fully invest in your next upgrade when you can.
      The manager at Best Buy gave me my Brand New/ Sealed "M3 Pro" 18GB of Ram/1TB of Storage 14 inch Space Black for $2,167.19 out the door last weekend for my 30th Birthday coming up. This price in a walk in authorized store completely Brand New/Sealed is UNBEATABLE right now. This offer the manager gave me even beats out the refurbished price of this exact one with exact specs on the official Apple website currently. I just unboxed it on my channel. I am not waiting ten years to upgrade anymore, I was a college student at the time so that is just Life. I am upgrading every 5-6 years, at the least 4 years.
      I upgraded from my 2013 MacBook Pro 4GB of Ram/512 Storage Silver 15 inch. It was nearly 5 pound (4.8 pounds) from college 11 years ago.
      I want to be a person that needs a huge MacBook or the latest every two or three years but it just not the case for me. I invest my money in my Nutrition/Fitness Lifestyle.
      Anyway, buy the MacBook you want and only you. The investment WILL pay off if you believe it.
