Thanks for the plans - I built one last year off the forum plans, done up as an RNZAF unit. Its a fantastic slope soarer, wonderful speed range, super stable, rolls like a bandit..
if you put an expansion cone on the end of the restriction cone properly,, youll gain about another 40% thrust..id suggest a turned around cone to start and then cut it down to about half length to find the max speed
how do you know if you have a increase if you havent done the test on the older one yet as you said? im confused a bit. the newer one sounds better imho. the material is the factor plus the motor and fan for sound created. good video. id like to build one now. thanks for sharing great job!
Congratulations on these planes. I've never tried EDF partly due to the noise! Since seeing and hearing your skyhawk vids with the amazing jet sound, I'm fascinated. May I ask how loud they are as they don't sound as noisy as the usual screamers.
The 6 Blade sounds throatier; maybe just the camera, but the whine I heard in the 12 blade was less pronounced in the 6; interesting. Of course outside will be a even more interesting experiment; can't wait. Nice work. Now to scale that to 90mm :-)
There are plans posted here in the FT Forums: forum.flitetest.com/index.php?threads/i-want-to-fly-an-a-4-at-flite-fest.26169/ I'm sorry, I haven't made a build video yet, but there are LOTS of build pictures in the thread, both from my own builds and other people's. Hope that helps!
Not yet, that I know of. However, I think they are working to get foam and kits into HobbyTown stores. The more you go tell the local HobbyTown that you want it, the more they'll know they should actually carry it.
They are not tiled to A4 size...yet. More details about the build are in the forum thread: forum.flitetest.com/showthread.php?26169-I-want-to-fly-an-A-4-at-Flite-Fest

I like airplaney things! :D
The new rounder fuse looks really, really good. Can't wait to see how this one performs.
Nice sound on the 6 blade. Good to find more thrust.
Ben, you nailed it! That new design is absolutely phenomenal! Great craftsmanship! 😀
Your channel is my dream come true: Flitetest military aircraft style. Please keep up the exemplary content!!
I like "techy". Love to hear your design and build process and flight post mortems (pun not intended) like you did for the C17 maiden.

Looks awesome, cant wait to see them fly :)
These things are gonna be sick!

What size edf does this use?

Do you have a build video?
great movie
Ben. How can I get the plans and maybe a build video. This will be my first edf aircraft. I love the looks and sound of it?

Oh one question. Which do you think would have been performance assuming the same motor was used, a six blade fan or 12 blade fan?
super cool!, i have two things to ask: 1) please make an Su-35, 2) how do i like this video twice?
is there any other place besides the flite test store to order waterproof foam board?

Ben Harber ah, okay
can you make the build video for us
I am working on it. I started one, but I'm not happy with the result. When I have something complete and concise, I will certainly post it!
Ben Harber is that plan's in A4 size?
and also please update specifications of this jet in description.
I really hope to build this.
