@@ThingsHumansDo Yes, you can in fact reduce pedestrian deaths. High SUVs and pickups are inherently dangerous. When small cars hit pedestrians, the send the pedestrian onto the hood, usually striking their legs. When a pickup hits a pedestrian, it hits their body, and the high ground clearance sends them UNDER the car, which results in 3x more pedestrian deaths compared to a car.
Also, saying that "all cars are dangerous for pedestrians, therefore there shouldn't consider pedestrian safety" is like saying "All people are capable of murdering other people, so we shouldn't arrest anybody for murder."

And now, after finally having reviewed the Cybertruck, it's time to give Doug DeMuro a DougScore:
    1. Starting with the weekend categories and styling, Doug looks fine, not beautiful, he gets a 5/10
    2. Acceleration is slow, I'm not sure how fast Doug does 0-60, but it's definitely over 10 seconds, which gives him a 1/10
    3. Handling is ok, not spotscar level though, Doug gets a 4/10
    4. Fun factor is good. Doug is pretty fun, he gets a 7/10
    5. Cool factor is high, there is only one Doug DeMuro in the world, though I don't think he turns many heads because many people simply don't know who he is. Still, it's enough to give him an 8/10 for an overall weekend score of 25/50
    6. Next up are daily categories and features, Doug is reasonably well equipped but still lacks some modern tech. He gets a 7/10
    7. Comfort is great and gets an 8/10
    8. Quality is fine, but long term reliability might be an issue, he gets a 7/10
    9. Practicality is normal for a guy like Doug, only two hands and no second row get him a 4/10
    10. Finally, value, and this is a tough one. Doug is really cool, but also quite expensive. He gets a 5/10 for an overall daily score of 31/50
Added up and the DougScore is...56/100. I have not reviewed any Dougs yet, but this is a high score and I'm thrilled to have been able to spend a day with him!

people have been experiencing a lot of issues with this car. not just the wheel covers.
the insanely sharp steel causing safety concerns. cars aren't sold with pop up lights for this reason, so this car theoretically shouldn't be sold either.
the front lightbar being partially covered by the steel so at night the lights dip/aren't high enough to illuminate as much as other cars.
the large & inconsistent panel gaps caused by difficulties during production (one of many reasons why people don't use stainless steel for cars)
I appreciate what this car is trying to do, but it feels a bit stupid and if anything is a step backwards in terms of innovation.

There is a 48 volt wire hidden where a light bar would go on the roof and behind the frunk tub and both can be turned on and off in the user interface. There is also a hidden nozzle for the air tank in case it's depleted when it's in for service and the suspension needs to be adjusted. It also has a small 48 volt battery for the low voltage system but it can be "jumped" from just 12 volts and those contacts are behind the frunk internal trim.

I can't help but wonder how did no one at Tesla think about the wheel covers interfering with the tires until it was time to start delivering vehicles? For an engineer this should've been beyond obvious, considering tires bulge by design, and when you want to offroad properly you want to air down your tires and create an even bigger bulge to make use of those treads that spill down the sidewall... it's literally all in the engineering of a tire! Only way to remedy that and keep wheel covers that partially cover the tire is to have the wheel covers protrude and seemingly hover significantly far off of the wheel which will look silly, be vulnerable, and likely defeat the purpose of creating an aerodynamically efficient surface over the wheels.

The actual theme of the interior is “cost cutting”…
Those wheel nut covers are aftermarket. Tesla doesn’t provide any and they’ll rust pretty fast.
Worst than the panel gaps are the misaligned panels.
And no, this is not an “exoskeleton”. It was supposed to be but it just isn’t
    All the best to everyone

2:07 So this truck can have very sharp edges and probably hurt you very bad but we cannot have pop up headlights due to potential safety issues, bureaucracy at it's finest 🤣
