I literally paused this video to run to the kitchen and open a can. I have been struggling with can openers my whole life because I’ve apparently been doing it wrong this whole time. My life is CHANGED. (Also happy video!)

We have an electric one lol😭 I can't use those manual ones. My joints (I'm fifteen I'm not old 😭) can't handle it. I feel like Micheal Jackson saying "my shoulder is dislocated" lol

In my family, we make pumpkin squares with cream cheese frosting 💕 The recipe we use is from the Company's Coming cookbooks. If you google "Company's Coming Pumpkin Squares" it'll pop up 😊

I made this Pumpink Bread, I used unsweetened almond milk and gluten free all-purpose flour due to food intolerances. I don’t have a loaf pan, so I bake in a muffin tin. Turned out yummy! THANK YOU for sharing the Pumpkin Bread recipe, absolutely delicious.
Really enjoyed this and also just seeing “random” videos of your everyday life. It’s nice to watch while chilling out cos you guys have such a good vibe :) looking forward to the next one as always!

Wow! It was soooo nice to get this new post shortly after the previous one you did. I totally understand that you hadn't been as regular as you had been in the past. Sometimes going a month or more before doing a new one was always frustrating because I never knew when you were going to be on.
I was truly missing your posts. You both really make my heart smile with your videos. Not only do you do wonderful videos that educate people about deafness and sign language, you tell others what you two have gone thru in your relationship as a deaf and hearing couple. It's beautiful how you two get along with each other. And love the sense of humor you have as well. It makes me think of the things I have dealt with over the years . So it is interesting to see what you have gone thru and how you both have handled it. Also helping people learn ASL which truly is a language. One that every high school should offer as class to get credit for.
Plus....love the fun things you do. I actually learned how to bake pumpkin bread! Wow! Although I do cook and bake. I had never made bread. So it was fun to see you teaching Ryan how to make it.
So, hopefully we will see more of your videos a little more regularly. At least I hope so.
But this video was a pleasant surprise so soon after the previous. Keep it up. Love you guys. Always a bright spot in the day for me.

Ellen, We love your videos when you voice and sign at the same time AND your videos when you exclusively sign. It’s fun to see you feel comfortable and communicate freely when you sign without needing to voice, BUT it’s so much easier to pick up new signs and learn/practice sign language when you voice and sign at the same time. Especially for the kids! Thank you for your videos!

Looks so good! I love the flavor of pumpkin but unfortunately in my country we don't have this cans of pumpkin puree. I think we don't even have this type of pumpkin that it's made of here 😭

Oh my gosh so many aprons haha Yey I love fall time for the pumpkin stuff, I don’t know why but I feel less guilty eating pumpkin pie than any other pie hahah
Dogs love pumpkin and other orange squashes to eat and it’s good for them too.
If you love pumpkin stuff, guys should try stuffed pumpkin! My mom would make it every Halloween. Its a savory stuffed pumpkin stuffed with ground meat, onion, garlic, potatoes or rice, cinnamon, nutmeg or whatever your preferences are for a stuffing. Pre cook the stuffing, stuff the pumpkin and cook it in the oven, drizzle your portion with a bit of maple syrup and its amazing! I love your videos! It helps me immerse myself to learn ASL and your content is always enjoyable

I'm from Alabama and southern cooking is a little bit different.... This whole separating wet and dry things wouldn't happen. Nor would we use a scale.
You call your Grandmother and she tells you things like "add a good bit of flour" and "couple scoops of sugar"
Then you get out your hand mixer and beat the mixture until it's smooth as can be. You get out the crisco, dip your fingers in it and slather it all inside your bread pan.
You ask your grandmother what temp and how long to bake it?
"Oh around 400 or something just bake it til it looks good"
Somehow grandma's recipe never fails, it's always delicious. BUT it's never as delicious as when grandma herself makes it 💚

Ohhhhhh yummy! I've been using the same recipe for YEARS to make my pumpkin bread, (I mean, it's all pretty similar anyway) but I substitute applesauce instead of oil to make it healthier. It never occurred to me to use pumpkin seeds on the crust, and that looks amazing so now I have to try it!

That bread looked so good! Seeing you two converse in every-day things really helps me with my ASL. I'm still very new but I am catching bits and pieces and seeing the more casual forms of ASL really helps. A good example is "learn." Usually I was taught to bring my pinching hand all the way up to my forehead, but seeing you just lift it from your flat hand showed me I don't always have to use such a formal gesture to be understood. Putting the volume on mute also helped me concentrate on the signs more than what you were saying so I was able to pick up the visuals more and even do some lip reading to aid. Very useful!

This was such a nice video to watch - it's fun to see everyday tasks with sign language. The little ghost is SO cute!! I've seen a lot of ceramic ghosts just like it being sold as tea light candle covers so that the eyes glow. Not sure if this material would work the same?
The pumpkin bread looked really good. You can freeze half to eat at a later date. Cream cheese would also be good. Java always steals the show. Lol! Didn't seem to mind the apron.
