At the end, Logan told Rory to go off with John/Jack. Rory said, "Oh, I'm not going off with Jess". Logan decided that was the end of the fight and wanted to leave the bar. Rory was still steaming and didn't want to leave. Logan did. Paid for her cab and left. The fight was super heavy for Logan. For Rory as well but decided that she and Logan needed a hiatus. So she stopped talking to him. She stayed busy, moving, getting a job, making up with her mom, re-enrolling in Yale and taking a small vacation. I think in her head the break would end once school started but she nor the show says. She just wanted to cool off and clear her head from the whole pool house time. On Thanksgiving Honor called Rory and told her that Logan and Rory were broken up. Basically, Logan returned to his pre-Rory life but none of the sex Logan had made him move on from Rory. Without Rory, he was depressed, lonely and upset. Sex wasn't why he was with Rory so none of the other girls worked to help. He missed Rory. So he knew he wanted to get her back. Logan 100% needed to learn that fighting doesn't mean break up. That ghosting was not the right thing to do. It left things very confusing. You can't just leave. You have to say Good Bye. After Rory leaves in this vid scene, Logan went to Rory and made his case. She knew he believed his truth so went home with him. But she was still very hurt and didn't know how to deal with it. This is why I always say breaks are never a good idea with relationships. As we clearly saw in this scene with Rory and Logan there was a huge misunderstanding by both parties about what the status of their relationship was when they were apart. But even if they were broken up, like Logan believed, he still should have told her about sleeping with those women before he invited her to that wedding. He basically let her walk into a trap. He even said those girls like to start up drama just for the fun of it. Logan couldn’t change what he did, what’s in the past is in the past, but he should’ve at least given her the info so she didn’t walk into that situation completely ignorant to his dealings with all of those women. Those girls put her in a position of feeling cornered and stupid. I mean imagine coming to a family wedding with your boyfriend and you feel like you both are finally in a mature, committed relationship then you find out he slept with all of the bridesmaids at said wedding and you had no idea and all of the bridesmaids tell you about it nonchalantly. Like everyone was in on his playboy ways but you. That whole experience would be completely embarrassing for anyone. Telling her wouldn’t change the fact that he slept around, but at least she would’ve been prepared if any of them brought up his sexual escapades, which they did.

Actually, I saw the show several times until I realised that Logan technically really didn't cheated. It reminds me to the Rachel-Ross "we were on a break" thing only less iconic. Well, it was tha Thanksgiving episode when Rory talked to Logan's sister via phone who told her that they broke up... And Logan slept with these girls "around Thanksgiving" and "in December". I agree. It was cheating. Logan didn't see it that way and in his current state of mind he didn't think it was, but it was. I'm sure that later on in life, when he became a grown up and understood relationships better he saw it for what it was. I don't know how you get over something like this. i agree with rory on this. logan needs to learn that a fight and not talking for a little while to cool off, is not a break up. also in an earlier episode before this happens when honor calls rory and says “since you and logan broke up” and then rory obviously gets sad and confronts logan and then logan literally says “it just slipped out i didn’t mean to call it a break up” (or something along those lines)...um HELLO?! so he confirmed that he didn’t see it as a break up...

She burned herself out during high school and didn’t learn any coping skills because everyone gave her everything she wanted and people acted like she could do no wrong. Honestly Lorelai doesn’t get a lot of sympathy either. She wanted so bad to be away from her own parents that she made all the stupid decisions in her teen years, then gave her daughter the worst possible example and expected her to be better than she was. Her being the one who encouraged her to lie about cheating basically proves she herself shaped Rory into the selfish person she became. People don’t get it, this really does happen like this. Her ending was realistic.

This is why I always say breaks are never a good idea with relationships. As we clearly saw in this scene with Rory and Logan there was a huge misunderstanding by both parties about what the status of their relationship was when they were apart. But even if they were broken up, like Logan believed, he still should have told her about sleeping with those women before he invited her to that wedding. He basically let her walk into a trap. He even said those girls like to start up drama just for the fun of it. Logan couldn’t change what he did, what’s in the past is in the past, but he should’ve at least given her the info so she didn’t walk into that situation completely ignorant to his dealings with all of those women. Those girls put her in a position of feeling cornered and stupid. I mean imagine coming to a family wedding with your boyfriend and you feel like you both are finally in a mature, committed relationship then you find out he slept with all of the bridesmaids at said wedding and you had no idea and all of the bridesmaids tell you about it nonchalantly. Like everyone was in on his playboy ways but you. That whole experience would be completely embarrassing for anyone. Telling her wouldn’t change the fact that he slept around, but at least she would’ve been prepared if any of them brought up his sexual escapades, which they did.

Actually, I saw the show several times until I realised that Logan technically really didn't cheated. It reminds me to the Rachel-Ross "we were on a break" thing only less iconic. Well, it was tha Thanksgiving episode when Rory talked to Logan's sister via phone who told her that they broke up... And Logan slept with these girls "around Thanksgiving" and "in December". Rory also referred to this with "you broke up with me Logan, through your sister..." So it really wasn't cheating.several times

I agree. It was cheating. Logan didn't see it that way and in his current state of mind he didn't think it was, but it was. I'm sure that later on in life, when he became a grown up and understood relationships better he saw it for what it was. I don't know how you get over something like this. I'm forever team Logan, but I think I very purposely forget about this time in their relationship, because I don't think I'll be able to get over cheating if it ever happens to me. Rory and Logan are one of my OTP's and I like to imagine that they love happily ever after in another world.
