I think the reason why a lot of these men think that 'men don't hold inherent value while women do' is because the work women have to put to their looks and their behavior (caregiving expectations etc) is made invisible to public and/or is seen as the obvious effort. This makes it impossible for people to recognize what MeToo was even about, which became so evident with NotAllMen. Folks as a result just lizard brain react and become defensive.
3. Grifters - The Tim Pools of the world really don't help, and nor does the incel clip industrial complex who make money off of controversy that they mostly invent themselves.
4. Shit soup - you mix this all together, and you get grifters capitalizing on the ignorance of the vast majority of people to turn an issue demanding answers into a debate to be won and an identity politic team-sport to own your niece at.
