happy to hear that you had such a great reading month!!🎉 makes me even more excited to get around to reading the featured books. august was abysmal for me, read zero (!!) books. 🫣 i did start a few but just couldn’t concentrate on anything. luckily the weather report indicates that temperatures should finally drop a bit starting 10 september 🤞🤞🤞 very sorry to be hearing about you having gone through a traumatic book lending experience 😢 that’s so sad. love seeing the updated jar! it looks awesome!! and now, of course, i’m extremely curious about your tbr picks for september! have a lovely sunday, cuddy, and happy reading! 💜
I'm glad I've made you excited for future reads 😊 That's okay. Sometimes, it's hard to stay focused on a book. Hopefully, you will find a book you can't put down soon 🤞 Can't wait for cosy reading days 🥰 The last 3 books I lent out 2 never returned, and one was really badly damaged, and I mean pages falling out cover ripped type of damage 😢 I shall get my tbr up this week at some point. Happy reading Jennifer 📚 Thank you for watching 🧡
@@cuddysbookshelf 😱😱😱 what?!! what a nightmare!! i hope the books are replaceable and not any special editions. how does someone return a book, or anything, with damage? accidents happen, but if they happen to something borrowed wouldn’t you apologize and go and buy an new one to return? hopefully the two unreturned books find their way back to you. undamaged. ugh! those are some nasty experiences. 😥
They were all standard paperbacks luckily. I would totally replace a book if I had coursed the slightest damage. But I learnt my lesson. There are still a handful of people I borrow books to because I know they have taken care of my books every time I have borrowed them one. The two unreturned books have been gone for over a year now, so I doubt I will get them back. I had already read them, so I will just repurchase if I want to reread. 🧡
@@cuddysbookshelf over a year sounds like they forgot. but handing something back damaged without even offering a replacement is unacceptable. phew, glad to hear that they are all paperbacks. but even those sell out, get cover changes, size changes, and they definitely cost money. 🤬 sorry you had to go through that! i hope beanie and your current read can distract you from that negative experience! sending you a hug!🤗
Yeah, I'm over it now. I just learnt a lesson to not trust just anyone with my books. Beanie always makes everything better. Although she is currently laid with her head on my face whilst I write this 😂 I am trying and failing to sleep before work, but apparently, my face is more comfortable than the rest of the bed 😂 🐶🧡
Discworld is my favourite series to reread - they're a definite comfort read for me 💜📚
I can totally see why. I finish a discworld book and then immediately miss the characters. 🧡📚
Thank you for watching darling 😊
