Hey Rod, when moving the fish have you ever tried sacking them up? In carp fishing in the UK we use carp sacks to retain fish overnight etc? Keeps them in the dark so they don't panic and means moving them about once they are in there is easy and they wouldn't beat each other up. Sacks are generally up to 1m so won't work for the big beasts but for the active fish that like to panic they could make life much easier.

Giant morays are the largest indo pacific eel and are brown with dark brown spots and grow to 2.5 meters

That moray is amazing. Of course. But! it’s not leucistic. Leucistic means white. Like leucocytes are white blood cells.
It certainly has a mutation. Its patternless for one. It also may be “xanthic” for its yellow color. Some may call it “lutino” which hails from our bird keeper brethren.
No matter what, love what you do. Keep after it, stay warm on Long Island!

Would be cool putting some cleaner shrimp and blue striped cleaner wrasse in with the eels. They eat dead skin off the eels beside parasites. Would love to watch an eel sitting still with his mouth open while the cleaner fish or shrimp does his cleaning. I went snorkeling in Maui and actually saw the fish line up like at a gas station waiting to be cleaned. Thought it was just a finding Nemo cute scene, it’s real!
