- If you've ever played with a piece of dry ice, you might have noticed how it glides across a smooth floor, unlike regular ice. Why is that? Dry ice stays below -109˚F, but is this the reason dry ice glides?
Warning: Handle dry ice at your own risk. Dry ice is very cold and can freeze your skin or even give you frostbite. Wear insulated gloves or touch it for very brief periods of time, spaced out over several seconds.
