I love how this escape theme sounds a lot more ominous and intimidating than everyone else’s. Not only do you have to worry about escaping in time now, but you have to be careful not to let Peddito show up, so it overall makes for a much more dangerous experience. This song definitely reflects that nervous feeling as you run through the level, trying not to get hit, but trying not to go too slowly either.

Goodness gracious those Doise sprites have so much character dripping from them. Also, I don't remember the older Doise escape theme at this point but this one seems just as good. Keep it up, folks! I do hope Universal Doise shows back up in some capacity, though.
I like the consistency with the alien vibes, y'all going deep into the idea that Doise is an eldritch horror that is only anchored due to Peddito, or that he's stuck in purgatory or whatever, It makes for interesting songs like these, also good to see Magnum do this track since they worked on the Fake/Doise Reskin mod, it feels like coming full circle in a way but kinda not really. To me personally, it feels odd that the Noise recolor gets so much extra mechanics and content and gameplay changes/tilts, like don't get me wrong, it's unique, and its dope, but out of every character, it's... the Doise? Maybe it's because he's easier to work on, or just preferences, or that the other content is just in the works as well, or something like the sort, i dunno, i'm no mod dev, but it looks neato.
The way I see it is that the noise has all those mechanics that make him look dope and almost like a complete cheater to everything, compared to Doise here who tries his darnest to mimmick everything Noise does, but is constantly ridiculed in everything he does (either through the spritework or mechanic itself), I just like the concept that no matter what he does, nothing goes right for the poor guy
One thing I noticed is that the cheese rat ability for doise actually makes him slide downwards, which is very in character for doise’s tendency to do everything the noise can, just much worse
my headcanon is that since doise is the opposite of the noise, hes just a really nice guy and doesnt really want to do any of this, but still wants to live.

My headcannon is that the doise escaped from another hellish demension (the background is possibly the portal to that dimension), and he's desperately trying to replace you with him, but fortunately peddito comes and kills doise. P.s. when you play as doise in this mod, the weird interconnected doise heads show up during pizza time, so perhaps they're taking over the level and doise has to escape before he gets sucked in to that weird demension or worse BECOMES one of the doise heads or maybe the tower us a purgatory and doise is free from it after the ending. who knows knows im just rambling, but i had fun while doing it!
@@IcyIsChilltechnically you could make it work for vigilante if you base his lap 1 song on “for a few toppings more” (which is his entrance theme) and you base his lap 2 song on calzonification Since the entrance themes usually use the motif of the escape themes it makes a lot of sense

Day 38 of listening to this track (Pretty good day too, i was at this restaurant where the walls were full of marker drawings, i thought it would be funny if i drew Noise holding the Romanian flag but there was no yellow marker so it ended up being the French flag, the food there was really solid, the sauces were hot garbage tho)
my favourite part in ptfr is when peddito said "no more half measures" and then doise said "i am the sardines that are unflavoured" and the el diego walks in and kill everyone

While i still may prefer Doise Thrashing over this, I will admit theres parts that blow the OG out of the water, mainly the 50 seconds left melody, so I'm still super eager to see what you all are cooking up!
I must say this looks good, but if you want some REALLY perfect doise gameplay, try Doise's Do-Over by MamaLuigi. It's not as fleshed out as a whole in terms of music or bugs but the character has what I think to be, the perfect Doise moveset.

We've given Doise a lot of changes to differentiate him more from Noise and make him more unique.

Nope it hasn't changed, the wall boost move is only activated via pressing jump before hitting a wall at Mach 4. It's a risk reward type of move
