There is his biography on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Guastavino About the 10 Cantos Populares specifically, there isn't much. The pieces don't have names -- just dates, presumably they are dates of composition. A few people have recorded the piece and you can find just hints in album program notes, such as these: www.piano-classics.com/articles/g/guastavino-piano-music/ www.gramophone.co.uk/review/guastavino-complete-piano-works Unfortunately, even the sheet music is now unobtainable from whence I originally obtained it: www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/cantos-populares-sheet-music/19868589
Unfortunately, the music may no longer be available for purchase. Here is the identifying material on the score I obtained many years ago: Guastiavino, Carlos Cantos populares - 1a ed. - Buenos Aires : Melos de Ricordi Americana, 2005. 24 p. ; 31x23 cm. ISBN 987-1126-83-2 1. Música Popular Argentina. I. Título CDD 781.621 082 I suggest you contact sheetmusicplus.com. That was where I bought my copy. The link, at the time, was www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/cantos-populares-sheet-music/19868589. That link still works, but when you go to that page, it says "Not Available: This item is currently unavailable for purchase." Ask them if they can find out if it's still available anywhere else. Before sheet music was available to buy, I was able to find a pdf on the web, but as a composer myself, I always prefer to support other composers (even if deceased) by buying their work. A google search may turn up a downloadable PDF, though.
Valentina Gentile : Here you should find it. Don't wait too much to get it, sometimes the links desappear, probably because of the rights. Very enjoyable to play. en.scorser.com/Out/300572681.html

If I'm recalling correctly, the dates of composition are all in April and May of 1974.
