I’m so happy to see you again! Welcome back. Even with it being your second day and being exhausted, you look so relaxed and so much happier than you were in the other district. I’m so sorry you had to be put through that ordeal. Then people wonder why teachers keep leaving. I am glad that you were able to find another position mid year to take some stress away. I pray that you are able to be placed in a more permanent position for next year (and that you find out soon to put you at ease). Your fans are glad to have you back 😊 Many blessings for this new adventure. I don’t teach math, but I love the fractions activity you did. That really would have helped me as a student learning fractions (they were my achilles heal).
Look up the cake method for math. I’m glad you seem so much happier. Would you mind talking more about what pushed you to leave mid-year? I did that once and I still feel weird about it years later.
@@teacher_in_houstonThat’s ridiculous! I hate schools that don’t support their teachers. I can understand if a teacher’s heart wasn’t in it but you love teaching. You should have been given more support to help lift you up. I’m sorry!❤
Can you do map the room activities with them? each station doing a review except one that soft entry the new one skill set to learn? maybe it would be fun
I dont know your faith stance. However i think God put you in a better place. The other school didnt seem like it fit with your personality or moral compass. I have faith that God is putting you with the kids/people you need and that need you.
If you get the courage to share your experience with the other district, I think it would help a lot of teachers out there. Many are in similar situations. You would get a lot of views, if that helps.
It was a combination of -being on social media/posting videos -having low performance scores on my evaluation -not following the curriculum (this was the big reason) -being behind on 4 pages of lesson plans. (Seriously, 4 long pages) Plus they said that my name would be made public at the next board meeting if I didn't resign.

I'm so proud of you Ms. Blanco!! You didn't give up on teaching. Some districts are ridiculous and lose great teachers like you.
Thank you so much!
I;m so happy for you! Sudden change is hard and exhausting but I am glad you are back to a position that really allows you to teach!
I was so happy to see you back with us!!!! 😊
So good to see you so happy!! I loved your classroom setup last year and wondered what happened to you!!! Congrats!!
Yay!!! So great to see you so happy in your element! Glad it all worked out for you!❤❤❤❤
I oredered the items on your list and they will arrive Sat 1/20/24. Hope these help you teach your new grade 4 math.
Welcome back, you was missed.

I wish I could have left midyear, but my district would have taken my license for a year.
Luckily. The district did not take away my certification!
Keep being true to yourself. Do you have a link to the black backpack that you are using in these videos?
Thank you. I'll post the link! a.co/d/66wz4lA

What happened with doing the Reading Academies if you are no longer at the same school?
I unfortunately was cut from the program so I completed only 5 months of the year long program. I can restart with my current school.

But why were you force to resign can you please give brief details

Oh gosh! Your video sounded like you quit. I'm so sorry this happened. It sounds horrific. Glad you were able to leave unscathed.
Are you going back to teaching fifth grade next year
Depends on the end of the year. I might stay or move up/down depending on where they need me.
So happy for you❤️
Or are you going to go down to teaching third grade at your old school that you are back teaching at
Right now, I'm teaching 4th Grade Math and Science since I'm basically long term substituting for the original teacher.
If they offered it to you would you consider teaching either first grade or teaching second grade ☺️
Yes I would have!
Would you consider teaching kindergarten
