Shooting in this game is horrendous. Doesn't matter if your player is a 70 or a 99 three point shooter, you will not make a shot unless the meter is perfectly stopped at peak on the green spot. I shot 5 of 50 for three with nearly half looking like full meter and still missing. Last one I played was 2k20 and I had no issues with that one.
