How is Scarlett O'Hara not sitting at #1 on this list? The first line of the novel "Gone with the Wind" is "Scarlett O'Hara was not beautiful," yet they cast Vivien Leigh to play the role. She was undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous actresses ever to appear on screen. I don't understand how one of the most famous movie characters of all time doesn't show up anywhere on your list!
You make a good point, rarely mentioned by most people who well know both the book and the movie. (That said, if it were up to me to cast Scarlett from the plethora of screen-tests--with some actresses who, physically, were more like the book’s description--I’d still go with Vivien Leigh. She embodied Scarlett’s fire and passion, a woman who for years was able to harness the attention of Gable’s Rhett Butler. (Until the ending, at least….)
Regardless of whether or not the actors match the character's physical appearance, we can all agree that many of them managed to pull off their roles with aplomb.
I agree; Jennifer Lawrence IS and always will be Katniss, even if, according to the video, she lacks the skin tone and Starvingly thin appearance of her book counterpart.
@trinaq Yeah like with Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV in Dune part 2 (described to be in his 70s but is actually 30 years younger) I actually wasn't bothered much by that change because having not read the book, I always assumed the Emperor was supposed to be an older man.
Morgan Freeman´s character Red in The Shawshank Redemption is called that because in the novella by Stephen King he is an Irishman with red hair. In the movie Tim Robbins character Andy asks Red why his name is Red and he responds, “Maybe it's because I'm Irish", a little wink to the novella.
Biggest change: Lily Potter had green eyes but the child actress had dark brown! All thru the book, it’s mentioned Harry has his mother’s green eyes..also Ron is written as tall and lanky with a long nose.
Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones. Especially after the Battle of Blackwater. The only description he matched was that he was a dwarf.
I never read the books and Tyrion was tied with Dany as my favorite character (until she got crazed near the end) I would I would love to know the difference. Maybe not drunk and horny all the time
@@batgurrlHe was drunk and horny a lot in the books. 😂 But he was a bit more odd looking. He had mis-matched colored eyes and his face was described as grotesque even before he was disfigured in the Blackwater battle, where he lost most of his nose. He was definitely never as cute as Peter Dinklage.
Sissy Spacek as Carrie (she was a chubby plain brunette in the book) both Jack and Wendy in The Shining. Randle McMurtry in One Flew over the cuckoo’s Nest and Vampire Armand in interview with the vampire were both described as having auburn hair as a HUGE part of their identities. Claudia The Vampire was about 5 in the book, even more of an abomination as she was called in the movie. All three witches in the witches of Eastwick were described as plain in the book
To be realistic, a Hollywood movvie would never cast a young-looking seventeen year old boy as Brad Pitt's love interest - too icky - so I don't mind that they went went for someone more age appropriate. However, the ridiculous Kabuki wig that they had 'fake Armand' wear, there's no justification for that!
@@user-mg5mv2tn8qthey’ve made a few adaptions and every time she’s been clear skinned and thin. They’d rather pretend a thin girl isn’t pretty, than put a plain chubbster up on the screen.
Elizabeth Taylor in National Velvet. Velvet was the “plain” sister. And the horse. The horse they used was a throughbred; the horse in the book was a piebald with no particular breeding; hence his name, “the Pie.” The movie missed the whole point of the book.
I suppose the two Tom Cruise Reacher films were fine for those who had not read the books, For those who had, however, the main problem with casting Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher is that in the books Reacher's intimidating physical presence is so much a part of what makes him Reacher, in terms of both character and plot development. There's just no way to get around that
When writer Ann Rice first heard it she screamed bloody murder but then after she saw it she said he was great in the role but I think it put money in her pocket by saying so. He was ‘okay’ imho and I’m not a fan of his
@batgurrl Have you ever seen "Warlock" or " Room with a view" Julian Sands could bring the creepy and romantic. I do like Rutger Hauer a lot as well. "Flesh and blood" was an excellent movie.
My mother doesn't find Kira Knightley attractive. I think she is fine, I'd never call here ugly. I dont find Ryan Gosling attractive and have never been into the Hollywood hunk types, like Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, or George Cloney. Cara Delevingne is striking, but I'd never call her conventionally attractive by 'my' eyes because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Someone who is gorgeous to one could be ugly to another. I've always swayed more towards the 'unique' looking people of the world. The ones who are so strikingly different that they are both ugly and beautiful. The first time I saw Benedict Cumberbatch, I thought he looked like an alien. It's horrible to think, but that's where my mind went. Now I find him gorgeous. He has the ability to draw someone in and to repulse in his charisma. Another unconventionally gorgeous person is Adrian Brody. The same goes with Zachary Quinto. Both he and Benedict could lead me down a dark ally to my doom, especially Zachary 😅😂 But I find things in all people attractive, especially more so with their personalities. I even love 'ugly' animals, patterns, clothes, and the list goes on. It is never ok to bring people down about their appearance, or for most things, for that matter. Built each other up. Let people enjoy what they enjoy as long as it's not hurting you or anyone else.
i always thought it was interesting how in the book for safe haven, katy has blonde hair that she cuts and dyes brown, but in the movie she has brown hair that she cuts and dyes blonde
Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Caroline and Bonnie in The Vampire Diaries Kristin Kreuk in Smallville Shay Mitchell in Pretty Little Liars Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist Emmauelle Chriqui in Superman & Lois Jack Starbright in Alex Rider Their literary characters are all REDHEADS.
My favorite film in this category would have to be The Maltese Falcon (a film that I love!) In terms of fitting the book, the entire cast is absolutely perfect, except for the two leads. Bogart and Mary Astor are NOTHING like the descriptions in the book.
Literary Sam Spade was tall, lanky, blond, and his face was described as a series of letter V's, with a deep widow's peak, high-arched eyebrows, a hooked nose, a sardonic smile, and a pointed chin, all of which combined to give him a devilish appearance.
Will MoJo do a “black washing” of characters since they have a “white washing” category? I think if you have an actor no matter what their skin color, height, and other physical characteristics are, how they portray the character is all that matters. Take for example Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption.
You forget Eponine (performed by Samantha Barks in Les Miserables. In the original book, she is described as a pale puny meagre creature (Source Wikipedia), with missing teeth, tangled hair . . .
Amandla Stenberg as Starr from The Hate U Give. As much as I love that movie, she looked nothing like the model on the book cover and it brought a discussion on colorism in casting.
Well Grere Garson played Elizabeth Bennett in 1940. And she was also beautiful. I liked Knightly version. She was very pretty, but it was an enjoyable adaptation
So I am partial to Cara only because they filmed paper towns at my high school and I got to meet her and Nat Wolff and they were both so incredibly nice. I also got to watch John green watch them do one of the scenes. They filmed in December so it was hilarious to see the dead trees have leaves zip tied to them 😂 and they only did it to the parts of it that would be on the screen. They also planted palm trees and took them with them after cause the school’s supposed to be set in Florida not North Carolina 😂
The only movies/TV shows I like and seen on this list along with the actors are, Harry Potter it was a good thing that Emma Watson played Hermione Granger, it was great that they had Nina Dobrev Play Elena Gilbert on vampire diaries, also it was a good choice to have Jennifer Lawrence played katniss in The hunger games, last one it was also a good idea to have Alexandra play annabeth in the Percy Jackson films I just really wish they would have made the third one.
Ok, I agree with everything in this list... Except for the things that were left out. Just with Shadowhunters you have a whole new list... -Of course, Clary -Jace, whose supposed to be way taller and muscular than Jamie, (even though he nailed that personality) -Alec is supposed to be also tall and with a really pale skin and black hair (the actor whose name idk, sorry, match the skin and eyes, but the hair and height are disappointing) -Valentine is described as a muscular, 40ish, manipulative, blonde man, not that person on the movie... And don't even get me started with that blasphemy of a series 😤... The point is, that's definitely the one with way more changes than it should have, and yet you named the least terrible... Now I'm in need for a list only for Shadowhunters, please
I tried multiple times to read the book, but just couldn't do it. I think they did a better job at casting the series though. At least Dom looks like he'd actually survive a fight as Jace. According to IMDB Jamie is actually an inch taller than Dom at 6', but Dom doesn't look like he'd blow away in a stiff wind. (When the series came out everyone was whining about Dom, and how perfect Jamie was for the role, according to the author's description. I thought, if that's true, then sometimes the authors don't get it right either.) The guy they used for Alec in the movie looked about 35, I swear he looked older than Valentine. They did better with Matthew (hey at least he's 6'3"). They did better with the guy they used for Valentine as well. He looked his age, and def did well on the manipulative part. Lily and Kat are both 5'5" and I think they were equally irritating, so I think that was more of a character problem than an actor problem, but at least they were able to get closer by dying Kat's blonde a strawberry blonde than that deep deep auburn they used on Lily.
The only movies/TV shows I like and seen on this list along with the actors are, Harry Potter it was a good thing that Emma Watson played Hermione Granger, it was great that they had Nina Dobrev Play Elena Gilbert on vampire diaries, also I got a choice to have Jennifer Lawrence played katniss in The hunger games, last one is also a good idea to have Alexandra play annabeth in the Percy Jackson films I just really wish they would have made the third one.
Armand in Interview with the vampire. Lestat and Louis were also kind of switched but that was mostly fixed with hair and makeup, Armand was supposed to be a teenage boy with red hair and they casted Antonio Banderas.
Yeah, Gerard Butler looked NOTHING like the Phantom from the book, it's like the makeup artists didn't even TRY to capture the hideousness of his face!
But even the actors in the stage version probably don’t match the novel. Yes, the makeup is much more intense for the stage, but the part of the face that is shown, the actors are usually quite handsome.
The reason Tom Cruise played Jack Reacher, even though he looks nothing like him, is because he bought the film rights and cast all the actors. So he cast himself as Rwacher because he wanted them to be like the "Mission Impossible" movies.
Emma as Hermione was fine. She was bushy haired and you could imagine she grew out of it. I mean her hair wasn’t bushy but other than that she had the character down perfect.
Jack Ryan James Bond Beverly March ( from "It") Wendy Torrance (The shining) What these characters have in common is that they have all been played by at least two different actors that don't look alike i.e. at least one is wrong.
I can't believe that Tim Cruise as Lestat was left off this list. Even Anne Rice herself couldn't believe they had cast Tom. He's pretty much the complete opposite of how she described Lestat in her books. That said, Tom managed to win everyone over despite this.
Jack Nicholson as R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. In the book, R.P. McMurphy was much more Irish looking - red hair and complexion, etc. Of course, it's hard to imagine anyone other than Jack Nicholson in that role.
This is one of the reasons why most authors of these novels hate the screenplays and television shows because of the way Hollywood makes changes to their character works, it doesn't matter how good these actors are, mainly because it's not their fault that directors change the character's looks, and despite how good or great the screenplays and television shows are, it's the author's work that's not being fully recognized or honored in a way the author wants, and unfortunately most of them do end up hating the end result based on their work.
I gotta second Morgan Freeman as Red... they even left in the line from the book "maybe it's because I'm Irish" as an Easter egg... And along those lines, Denzel as Don Pedro in Branagh's Much Ado... Branagh had a major habit of casting really good actors that didn't look like the book and did brilliantly anyway... Cleese playing a straight role in Frankenstein.. Idris Elba in Thor... taking the title role for himself in three Hercule Poirot films... Nonso Anozie in Cinderella...
While I like the actor Nathanial Parker he was miscast twice…. As Inspector Lynley, and again as Inspector Gamache. He doesn’t fit the physical characteristics of either. Tom Cruise as Reacher… nope!
I absolutely love Emma Stone, but I never think of her as a classic beauty. It's partly why she's so great in her roles. When her personality comes out her eyes and smile transform her pleasant looks into beauty. I get caught up in her characters and think, look how beautiful she's become in this moment!
Because I would like there to be a live-action adaptation of Pax by Walden Media, would Freddie Highmore, Jane Lynch, and Mandy Patinkin fit the book descriptions of Peter, his grandfather, and Vola?
Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV - Dune part 2 (even though Walken was close to 80 when he was cast in 2022, the character in the book is described to look in his 30s but is actually 70 years older)
Hugh Jackman has made Wolvie HIS OWN! Im ' aware of the body diff ( as a fan of X-Men), but he sure made it NOT matter one iota! My idea of a TV character that looked NOTHING WHATSOEVER like the (comic') book portrayal? Kristen Kruik as Lana Lang on TV'S SMALLVILLE.. Superman in Hight School! in the books , LANA is Always a Tall, Spunky, Redhead, confident and assured, BUT using a SHORT, Raven-haired half=Chinese actress in that roll ( and them making her a nosy, Whiney, insecure bundle of .. nerves,, TOTALLY un-recognizable, IMHO! thanks for the Vid!
A few honorable mentions: * Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane (Legend of Sleepy Hallow) - He's lean, lanky, looking like a living scarecrow * Brenton Thwaites as Jonas (The Giver) - Jonas is 12 with grey eyes not 16 * Brock Peters as Tom Robinson (To Kill a Mockingbird) - He has one arm * Danny Kaye and Ben Stiller (Secret Life of Walter Mitty) - He is older than the actors Any I missed?
Ummm...hello? Even Stephanie Meyer hated Robert Pattison in Twilight. She even did the books in graphic novels (manga) to get the bad taste out of her mouth. Edward Cullen is handsome and has long blonde hair. And Ron Weasley in Harry Potter...no, not close. However, I would never give up Robert Grint!!!
Catriona Balfe as Clare in outlander. Clare in the book was of average height for a woman in 1945 which was 5 ft 3in and when she stood next to Jamie Frazer her head rested on the curve between his chest as he was a good foot taller than her. Catriona is 6ft tall and her height distracted from how tall Jamie was. It was their daughter Brianna that hit close to 6ft tall
I’m sorry, but changing a characters race and ethnicity is just… LAZY. Instead of turning white characters black or Hispanic, create NEW ORIGINAL characters in those races and ethnicities! I really hate Disney and Rick Riordan for ruining the PJO cast. Not just Annabeth, but Percy too. Blonde with blue eyes is Jason Grace, not Percy Jackson.
I totally agree. And how cowardly of Ms Mojo not to include the movie everyone is talking about now where ridiculous changes have been made...the "reimagining" of the upcoming Snow White movie is absurd. The book describes her with "skin as white as snow", thus the name Snow White. The book also details the 7 dwarves as little people. How lazy and completely predictable of Disney to cast Rachel Zegler as the lead and only cast one little person as a dwarf. And how lazy and completely predictable for Ms Mojo to make zero mention of it.
The problem is, Hollywood studios won't finance original movies anymore. So the only way to finance a movie is to hook it to an existing IP, even if it is little resemblence from the franchise itself. So it is studios not taking risks with original ideas which stops your idea from happening.
Rizzoli and Isles. Given that the television adaptation of the book series is so wildly inaccurate in every way, you would think that mere cosmetic differences could be forgiven. However, Rizzoli is described as a woman who is almost aggressively unattractive with a dour personality who dresses in an unflatteringly masculine style. On screen, she is tall and lovely and impeccably dressed. And Isles? She is referred to as Queen of the Dead, not just because she's medical examiner, but because she is pale with straight, severe black hair, and a terse, no nonsense attitude. In the show she is all smiles and cheer, a round and rosey delight. There is a male cop in the book who is nearing retirement, hugely overweight, and stereotypically Italian. In the show he is a young and handsome black man. I would go into more detail, but I didn't make it through the first show, I was so incensed with what they did to the source material.
Oh well, the differences are there for Claries character in the wall instruments movie, when I first saw the description of this video, my mind immediately turned to Dominic Sherwood, portrayal of Jace in the TV series. The description is a lot different than what they did with his features, and I remember People being slightly annoyed about it as well as a lot of other effects that they put on the TV show different from above.
I don't know why they would take the time to mention "whitewashed" characters but not include them, but then include the actors of color in "The Dark Tower" and "Bridgerton."
Elisabeth Bennett isn't described as ugly, she's just described as less beautiful that Jane (who is very very beautiful). One sentence at the end of the book even say that mary is the only one of the bennett sisters who isn't beautiful. So keira knightley doesn't seem that bad? M.Darcy described a lot her beautiful black eyes, that she has.
You should add 'no blackwashing, no yellow washing, no redwashing'. If a character is supposed to be *not* black (like Cleopatra. She was mostly Greek and Macedonian. She would be olive skinned, not black), do not use a black actor. If the charactor is suppost to be black, use a black actor. Asian? Use an asian actor from the right country. Native American? Use one!
@@dhenderson1810 I know little about Egyptian actresses. I would pick one that looked like Cleopatra really did. Someone Greek maybe. George Takei is 100% Japanese. He however was raised in America.
@@dhenderson1810 I personally like everything I've seen him in. You do realized that Marvel changed Fury themselves and DREW Fury looking like Jackson. Yeah, they wanted Fury to look like Jackson.
They could’ve kept Elena as a selfish Queen Bee and given her great character development like Caroline. Lmao really screwed Elena’s character up imo cuz I wasn’t rooting for her at all 😂😂
Will Smith's Robert Neville is completely different than Robert Neville in the book. Not because of his race, but because Neville in the book is older, a heavy drinker, and has a thick beard.
We have a separate (with a notable negative undertone when mentioning that) list for POC characters played by white actors while the opposite happening in this list is all but called stunning and brave. Lol
Robert Pattinson in Twilight & the Female cast of The Vampire Diaries, the actor who played the male lead in 50 shades... Weird ones that did not work for me at least!
Thank you, I always thougt that Pattinson was a terrible choice for Edward ! He's suppose to have a god-like beauty, and obviously Pattinson have NOT !
MsMojo: Alexandra Daddario was able to win fans over with her on-screen presence. The fans: Did she though? No shade to Alexandra, but most fans of the Percy Jackson books have complained about the entire way Annabeth was adapted to the point where her looking nothing like her book counterpart was the least of the problems.
LILY COLLINS AS CLARY WAS PERFECT WYS, she was even petite like her and carried the same attitude and personality as her, I wouldn't say she looked "nothing" like the book describes. Considering this list included series adaptations, that other Clary was right there lmao
For me, it’s Kenneth Branagh as Poirot. He looks nothing like Poirot. Poirot is meant to have an egg-shaped face and a rounder belly. And don’t get me started on that moustache.

Amandla Stenberg as Starr from The Hate U Give. As much as I love that movie, she looked nothing like the model on the book cover and it brought a discussion on colorism in casting.
but its a book cover doe, i don't really remember them giving a description of what she looked liked
The book cover model is Starr as it matches her age.
Agreed, the girl on the cover had darker skin, in comparison to Amandla, who is lighter skinned. However, she still did an amazing job.
💯

-Jace, whose supposed to be way taller and muscular than Jamie, (even though he nailed that personality)
-Alec is supposed to be also tall and with a really pale skin and black hair (the actor whose name idk, sorry, match the skin and eyes, but the hair and height are disappointing)
-Valentine is described as a muscular, 40ish, manipulative, blonde man, not that person on the movie...
Literally everyone in cast of netflix witcher
Lily Collins would have been a great fit for Isabelle Lightwood but they decided she should be Clary 😅
@@briannastultz6924Yeah, that's true!
Jack Ryan
James Bond
Beverly March ( from "It")
Wendy Torrance (The shining)
What these characters have in common is that they have all been played by at least two different actors that don't look alike i.e. at least one is wrong.
You didn't mention any recent Disney movies. That would have invited a very entertaining comment section.
The Absolute Worst was Tom Cruise as Lestat!!! He was Rutger Hauer - not the Pipsqueak Cruise!!!
Lily as Clary was ok.
It said red kinda auburn hair not carrot red. She’s exactly who’d I would imagine and I’ve read the books like 20 times.
Tom Cruise as Reacher , good grief what a miscast that was so unbelievable , Alan Ritchson was perfect.
You should add all the new Disney remakes to this list😂
That’s it’s own list right there. Lol
Pretty Little Liars
I don’t mind the changes. I love Shay.
Some diversity was needed.
Hermione in the first HP movie is actually close enough to how she is described. Harry Potter himself though... ugh.
Yes, green eyes and dark hair... While Radcliffe has blue eyes and brown hair !
Superman in Hight School! in the books , LANA is Always a Tall, Spunky, Redhead, confident and assured, BUT
using a SHORT, Raven-haired half=Chinese actress in that roll ( and them making her a nosy, Whiney, insecure bundle of .. nerves,, TOTALLY un-recognizable, IMHO!
thanks for the Vid!
Oh I gotta pick that one
Tom Cruise & Stuart Townsend as Lestat should've been on this list :)
The casting for the Cullins in Twilight always bugged me. They were all described as blonde and Rosalie especially didn't match up.
A few honorable mentions:
* Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane (Legend of Sleepy Hallow) - He's lean, lanky, looking like a living scarecrow
* Brenton Thwaites as Jonas (The Giver) - Jonas is 12 with grey eyes not 16
* Brock Peters as Tom Robinson (To Kill a Mockingbird) - He has one arm
* Danny Kaye and Ben Stiller (Secret Life of Walter Mitty) - He is older than the actors
Any I missed?
Ummm...hello? Even Stephanie Meyer hated Robert Pattison in Twilight. She even did the books in graphic novels (manga) to get the bad taste out of her mouth. Edward Cullen is handsome and has long blonde hair.
And Ron Weasley in Harry Potter...no, not close. However, I would never give up Robert Grint!!!
Hollywood will always choose classic good looks over literary accuracy 😂
Yasiin Bey as Ford Prefect in Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
Personally, I think Robert Pattinson should’ve been on this list.
@@dhenderson1810 You mean like the stupid Harry Potter remake they’re making for HBO?
I like Elena in the TV show better than the book because in the book she is a terrible person
The description is a lot different than what they did with his features, and I remember People being slightly annoyed about it as well as a lot of other effects that they put on the TV show different from above.
percy jackson and the olympian the new cast
Shhhhh, you're gonna get called a RACIST!
Chocolat, the male protagonist doesn't exactly fit the gypsy "river people" described in the book. Portrayed by Johnny Depp
what about tom hanks in the da vinci code ;-) he is nothing like book descibes.
Emma Watson was a terrible choice for Hermione and it’s zero to do with the look, and everything to do with the god awful acting skills… shocking
I don't know why they would take the time to mention "whitewashed" characters but not include them, but then include the actors of color in "The Dark Tower" and "Bridgerton."
2:57 LET'S PLAY THE FEUD!!!!
I'm surprised Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan in Patriot Games was not on this list.
Ms. Momsen isn't just Cindy Lou Who anymore!
Use one!
Name an Egyptian actor who can play Cleopatra?
Name an Asian actor who can play the Asian role?
I'm waiting.
So you should object to Samuel L Jackson playing Nick Fury in the MCU, when the comics had him as white?
I do. I also have a problem with a brunette being supergirl in the Flash movie. Just look at the pictures in the comics and cast
I always thought Lily Collins resembled Clary Fray really well!! In that film I think she was one of the best cast looks wise
They could’ve kept Elena as a selfish Queen Bee and given her great character development like Caroline. Lmao really screwed Elena’s character up imo cuz I wasn’t rooting for her at all 😂😂
I think Jenny from Gossip girl was supposed to have a resemblance to Blair not Serena
I didn’t realise that Wolverine was a short king 🔥
Will Smith's Robert Neville is completely different than Robert Neville in the book. Not because of his race, but because Neville in the book is older, a heavy drinker, and has a thick beard.
Will Smith could have grown a thick beard for the role.
We have a separate (with a notable negative undertone when mentioning that) list for POC characters played by white actors while the opposite happening in this list is all but called stunning and brave. Lol
Technically carrots are usually orange not read
Despite what the characters looks like they look awesome
Robert Pattinson in Twilight & the Female cast of The Vampire Diaries, the actor who played the male lead in 50 shades... Weird ones that did not work for me at least!
Thank you, I always thougt that Pattinson was a terrible choice for Edward ! He's suppose to have a god-like beauty, and obviously Pattinson have NOT !
i can't believe they didn't mention Bryce Dallas Howard from the Help also
MsMojo: Alexandra Daddario was able to win fans over with her on-screen presence.
The fans: Did she though?
No shade to Alexandra, but most fans of the Percy Jackson books have complained about the entire way Annabeth was adapted to the point where her looking nothing like her book counterpart was the least of the problems.
Hitchcock knew what he was doing. 🎉
You missed Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher
Emma Watson in the perks of being a wallflower shoulda been on here, they described Sam as pale with green eyes and long black hair 😭
Lily is the best Clary I stand by it
LILY COLLINS AS CLARY WAS PERFECT WYS, she was even petite like her and carried the same attitude and personality as her, I wouldn't say she looked "nothing" like the book describes. Considering this list included series adaptations, that other Clary was right there lmao
For me, it’s Kenneth Branagh as Poirot. He looks nothing like Poirot. Poirot is meant to have an egg-shaped face and a rounder belly. And don’t get me started on that moustache.
Tom Cruise as Lestat. A world apart.
