Christine Comes Back to Life | Christine
"Auto body shops hate this one simple trick."
This is a good one.
Demon possession for easy payments with your soul?
This deserves a lot more likes.
I love how Arnie is just cool with the fact that the car is alive
He's bewitched
I was quite in awe of Keith Gordon’s acting as Arnie. He really helped to make Christine into John Carpenter’s most unique classic.
At this point, I believe, Roland LeBay has nearly completely possessed Arnie which is why he is not surprised, just very bewitched by her.
He's in love, and so is Christine.
Well.... the car does have a ..Engine😉
All the CGI in the world could never top this scene. The way they make the audience feel so connected to the villain to the point we rooted for them is absolutely amazing. They really made a machine have a personality without ever saying one word...I hope they never try and "reboot" this one,and just leave it on it's throne
Bad news for you bro: Christine is getting a remake
Sucks gonna remake it 😓
Shame on them
@@wolfzillaproductions4563It would be interesting to seem them adapt the book more faithfully. _Then again I prefer the film to the book by a good margin…_ Yeah I agree, leave it be 😂
@@wolfzillaproductions4563 I hope they at least keep the car the same.
The sound effect once christines headlights go on is bone chilling
Bew!
Absolutely
Love that twisted version of "heart & soul." That plays as Christine regenerates. Spooky without being scary.
Wait the song is heart and soul backwards or?
Harlem Nocturne, by The Viscounts
from what i remember. that scene was filmed in reverse. it was a car with no engine, that was hydraulically pulled into itself.
Very true
Yes
At 1:04 (before she repairs herself) Christine's grille and front bumper are clearly undamaged but at 2:10 they are both bent almost beyond recognition.
lots of mistakes but wth, its still a great movie.
@@motaz1975 agreed!
I PROMISE u there are JUST AS MANY mistakes in modern movies where they can cgi literally everything. These guys had to work with what they had,and pulled off things still never duplicated, and now never will be. This was before cgi and digital photography, this is the absolute pinnacle of physical film manipulation.
The supernatural is spooky that way ;)
I love how they used the same sound effect from Duel (1971) when the lights turn on
Fantastic movie, with a great soundtrack to boot.
The lights of Christine turning on
My favourite bit of the movie.
I wish I had a magic Mopar that would fix itself and stay perfect forever.
And not kill you.
Now that is a smart car!
That’s a super cool power, he could work as a mechanic and fix cars lol 😂
Christine is my dream ✨ ❤ car. Also including suvs from the 90s.
My car too
@@simgobel. Lucky, bastard!
I loved this scene! That was wen Arnie n christine became unseperable! 👌
U har corect. Eye here yew.
Dual 2 barrel carbs on a 318? That’s looks and sounds pretty cool. I know Christine was special order.
Christine had the 350 Golden Commando V8.
Best scene ever!!!
Love this horror classic movie.
I love how sedutive this scene is.
Arnie is losing himself and the scene is made out like he's watching a woman strip for him. But its a car :)
Arnie was only 22 in this film, talented actor, especially at the later stages where he goes off the deep end and acts possessed.
Christine been like: Honey, you did all the hard work the first time, its my turn now.
Director John Carpenter really did tell Keith Gordon to act like it was a girl performing a strip-tease.
The fact the she CAN regenerate...
"Told ya it'd buff right out"
EPIC SCENE!!
i was driving cross country back in june i was in kentucky and i was just so happened to look over into the opposite lane and seen a flat bed truck ...with christine on the back this car was pristine condition it was caramel brown with white interior beautiful car
Somebody please find this man a demolition derby! A car like that would win every time!
The scene where Arnie says show me I've asked over a 100 people if they would stay and watch or run for your life It's about aneven split
If you were completely bewitched and under her spell you would stay and watch
Anybody else notice how she doesn’t have a hood at first and then out of nowhere she has a hood
Such a beautiful love story.
A car giving him a strip tease....now Ive seen everything.....lol
In fact is like Christine says "Take me I'm yours."
@@mauriziopuddu4734 exactly 💯. Question is where would he 'penetrate?!?!? Lol
Classic movie
That moment at 1:28 is pure movie magic, perfect example of music, editing and sound effects used to perfection…
💀💀 the car is so bad ass ⚰️⚰️
осы киноны кіттай кезімде көрдім.. 😊😀🤭👍👍👍👩👧
‘
Awesome movie - good scene
The music sounds like what plays when the female character in a old 1950’s spy movie is getting seduced by one guy who works for the bad guys. This music plays when they start kissing and the guy rubs his hands and forearms up and down her back.
Ha ha, yes!😂
Yup, she's giving him a show
Pull yourself together literally
Transformers..Dawn of Christine
Transformers win
I have to say as a pro it would save him a lot of money in repairs over the years. I wish my car could do that!
In the book Arnie had to actually push it backwards to roll off the damage miles . I thought that was a unique way to have Christine get his pound of flesh .
True fact Christine is a 1957 Plymouth fury
No kidding.
Not the actual cars used in the set, though.
Actually a Belvedere if you look into it
1958 Fury.
Only one car for the film was a true Plymouth fury.
That's a lot of damage
I would be out of a job if all cars did this.
Wow i was only 13 when this came out!
So you were born in 1970? I was 7 when this came out
I wonder what it would be like now but a female leas with the car one of my top ten horror flicks .
Great special effects for the 80s, I don’t think I’ve ever seen modern special effects that come close to this..
Super simple as well, relatively speaking. Hydraulic pistons crumpled a bodyshell of the car in on itself, they shot it at various angles, played it back in reverse, added the sound effects. And that’s it. Movie magic! The only real issue is the obvious continuity errors going on with the busted up car before that scene and during its reconstruction, but that’s a minor flaw!
Will Hollywood make a Christine 2 . ?
Hey Arnie what did Christine say? Did she like my music you jammed?
Christine tinha vida própria ele mesmo, destruído podia se reconstituir na hora que quisesse..ele era um carro Indestrutível e Imortal!!
Dude looks like steve jobs little brother.
Oh yeah? And Palpatine is back... Somehow.
When they made this move they used 27 cars
They dont make movies like this anymore.
I wish my car could do that
Nothing beats Detroit steel
The Chrysler cars of this era actually were made from high nickel Japanese scrap steel. That’s one of the reasons 1958 Plymouths are hard to find, they rusted like crazy.
Wish my 300zx would do this
We'd like to talk to you about your cars extended warranty

Plymouth dies bot christine lives on
el diablo car
Girlfriend 😏
A live and well copyrighted so what do with the inherent advantages of Lyons

45 Years later there would be a French film called Titane where a woman gets impregnated by a car. Clearly 1980s America wasn’t ready for the type of love Arnie and Christine had for each other.
Would love to see how they did the special effects
