Sonic.exe was probably first made from a normal sonic since the models usually always have invisible parts of normal sonic like the iris as theres literally folders in the models called like ''eyes > exeEyes > regular'' theres also an expressions folder which is why this exists 3:19 but i have no idea how this was activated (but i think some survivor script was activated since i remember in older versions like before 1.0 i seen some exploiters activate this when playing as sonic.exe and his expression would change, or there was some debug menu left in the files which has an expressions ui and other random stuff such as remove cooldown and select character) edit after Metal Sonic update: It appears homing attack animation was left in the files because it was planned as the new ability for Shadow (or small exe spindash)

It activates the testing panel Showing all the characters you select them and you be that character he chose sonic.exe and he has a panel to turn exe or survivor which makes him look like that he also has a panel to change expressions and a panel to get downed, die, injured, stunned, etc.
To be honest i didn't expect about Outlaik still making new "Dev Characters". But also you can make Sonic.exe into normal Sonic if you have any exploit that can show you the workspace to. Plus you can literally make normal Sonic by having a workspace exploit,just set some parts transparency to 0 and others to 1.
