Matt is unique no matter how big this channel gets & you want to ask him something in the comments- HE RESPONDS just showing how much he actually cares and likes what he does
PLEASE keep doing giveaways. I think the garage giveaways make the most sense for your business/channel, so even if you never give a car away again, please keep doing the garages.
These business-focused videos are always my favorite! The transparency is greatly appreciated. I've always wondered how these work on the back end. Thanks for going into detail.
The garage give away’s seem like a no brainer. Drums up business + gives you an opportunity to film and make content surrounding helping someone else unlock the obsession. Again, showing off all the cool products.
I would spend 60 dollars on those awesome hats if you could rig the randomizer machine to pull Mikes name out and surprise him with a call. Nobody deserves a garage more than Mike.
Huge respect to Matt for this level of transparency. This actually gives a sense of belonging to the audience and helps build trust. Although following OG for a long time. I still don't know what does Matt do for a living? Does he sell detailing products or does real estate?
Love hearing about the business side of your giveaway as is more unique than others with the specific giveaway items for purchase. Good to know I have always wondered why the whole site isn’t for the giveaway, but makes sense now.
Props to ya Matt. Love the honesty. Not too many companies are willing to not only talk about profit margin, but get into exact numbers. Too many people think that all businesses are charities and aren't supposed to make money off their customers. An yea... (DUH), of course you should do more giveaways. Maybe not an $85k garage, how about some of the smaller stuff you don't use anymore? Imagine giving away a pressure washer system that consisted of one Kranzle, the hose, the reel, and some plumbing to connect it all together. Might be less stressful than $85k plus travel, hotels, and payroll.
@31:00 Don't worry, Mom. Throw all the packaging back together, and place an "opened by Matt" label (signed by Matt of course) on the packaging rips. Who wouldn't want their stuff unboxed by the man of the channel?!
I spent about 100 bucks on stuff for the giveaway. I had the money for more but there was nothing I needed and the stuff I wanted was sold out. I think you should keep going, it's just tough because every giveaway iv seen its the same stuff. Hats ,Shirts, Mugs and Keychains
Not to the end of the video but I miss the car giveaways. Was the rs last year? I was hoping the e36 would be a giveaway…now maybe the evo. I like the dialed in car being the prize.
You know damn well all those mailed in entries go right into the shredder, as they should. Matt just legally can’t say that 😂. Cant wait for Matt to come and outfit my 32’x64’ garage.
Are you guys going to stock the custom OG branded Distal wallet in the future? I slept on it, decided I wanted it, then saw it was sold out. Hope to hear from you on Friday!
@@timkinley1779 Do you understand what advertising cost right? Now free advertising cost zero, but even better is when people pay to wear your company brand and advertise for free. That is a huge win. Shirts and printing are very cheap when you buy in bulk like Matt does. A few less mens smalls and a few more xxl and xxxl’s.
I understand your perspective on limiting give away contest to certain products but including more products is stimulative. Someone may be on the fence about purchasing an active 2.0 but they may pull the trigger if they have an opportunity to win a prize. Prices could even be increased because the buyer justifies the incremental price as the cost of entry. Counterfactual cannot be proven but you could open it up if you decide to create another giveaway. I would think the products sold during a contest giveaway will jump above the run rate, margins are better as well.
I really hope this is t the last Garage “giveaway “. I understand with the recent and future expansion plans, but this is like nothing else anyone is doing. Might make sense to do a few more while your showrooms are getting established and your build out the install teams. But to be honest this is just me selfishly asking for more chances to win 😅.
lets start with none of these youtuber giveaways are giveaways. using that term is being awful generous, they are lotteries, or raffles, as you are buying chances to win. a giveaway would be Matt walking up to a random person in the street and handing them a car title and set of keys. end of the day there's 2 reasons for these raffles, #1 is they generate profit , and no one is giving away stuff more than once if it doesnt generate profit. #2 its good advertising. there's probably some tax write off involved too. props to Matt for being fairly honest about giveaways. we can all look at the likes of cleetus mcfarland and see how much he's banking giving cars away.
The only RUclipsr that would explain the business aspect of this 🙏🏻
100% I love these kind of videos.
cause he's the OG 💯
I think that Matt is the only youtuber who says it the way it is in FULL transparency even about himself. Kudos to you, brother.
Matt is a class act with the level of transparency he has in his business and personal life.
And some dumbos think there is some other backstory. I literally share the whole thing.
My vote is to continue with the giveaways, even if it is only one a year.
Bummer if this is the last garage giveaway... I really enjoy them, I think its so cool to see you outfit someone who otherwise couldn't afford it.
You’re literally THE only person on the internet to be fully transparent! I love hearing the business side and how it all works!

OG giveaways are the best on this platform. It's not just about the money, it's about sharing the passion. Nobody goes as hard as Matt.

You gotta do what makes most sense for your business. Thanks for the behind the scenes look!

Always appreciate the transparency, Matt. OG-spec Emira giveaway? Let's gooo!!
"Mrs. McGillicuddy" made me laugh. Good explanation of how this works.

Very interesting to hear this and cool you are being so transparent about this.
Hey Matt you might want to check out the New York Post article concerning the carnivore diet and possible links to heart issues and dementia.
Definitely more garage giveaways please!!
Always appreciate the transparency.
Love the transparency. Love OG
There's the mythical Peggy Jones who "only drives her Ferrari to the grocery store on weekends" and is really disappointed she won't get a new garage.

Yes please do another one since I was a bone head and missed this one.
Ordered the leather scent and a shirt just now 🤘

It was last July/August.
Thanks for your detailed content
Those high speed passes to dry the car are always a blast!
You know damn well all those mailed in entries go right into the shredder, as they should. Matt just legally can’t say that 😂. Cant wait for Matt to come and outfit my 32’x64’ garage.
Too bad Quebec resident can't participate... I still buy stuff tough 😅 thanks for being so transparent about this aspect of business !
I was here for the 1st car giveaway! Good explanation Matt.
Keep doing the cool stuff you sell, wish I was stateside to enter the give away
Ordered some hats so that I can put one on to match Mikes hat when you’re at my place doing my 85K build 🤞
Mike needs a digital entry beer/cinnamon roll fund.
Great video ill definitely buy something from the shop to show support 🙏🏾💪🏽
Love the new hats!
Picked up some digital entries, happy to support but pumped if i win!
Are you guys going to stock the custom OG branded Distal wallet in the future? I slept on it, decided I wanted it, then saw it was sold out.
Hope to hear from you on Friday!
We have our own custom version in the works.
Matt please stock larger sizes in your awesome shirts. More 3XL ‘s
It is tough to do 3xl. How many would he have to order to get run? Plus, they cost more to produce for the printers.

Great video 🎉
You have to do an Emira giveaway. That might be the best one yet.
I freaking missed this giveaway!!! Noooooo!!!
Can’t wait for the Golf 3RS giveaway! Lol
Well it worked and you got me to buy some digital entries. The shaky camera is super distracting.
Hey Matt can you guys put together a Rupes LHR15 Mark 111 with rupes pads some polish and compounds and a carrying bag.?

We did test it on several giveaways in the past. It was a major, major losing strategy.
I think a audio shopping spree giveaway would be fun to do once Obsessed Home Theatre gets up and running.
Yeah...I think we will do some of the for sure!

When does the note card have to be postmarked by to count?
Omg I dated someone from palatka Florida .. I’m from California :(

It's a dumb name, but that's what it's called inside of the Lottery law.
That sucks y’all don’t really make much upfront on these for all the work y’all do.
Out of curiosity what makes these not a lottery?
It is part of lottery laws, so I guess you could call it that.
What hapened to the e30 m3?
It was my friends.
@@ObsessedGarage Yea, and then you were thinking of buying them, and was on the fence. So what happened?
"giveaways" are on borrowed time. Essentially privatized lotteries. Everybody and there brother does them and the govt. wants there cut.
@@1thechosenjuan1 Its legal for now.
The government will get their money when the winner pays the taxes on the value of the garage.

Their X2.
ruclips.net/video/FnlCtU4IHuE/видео.htmlsi=fruWtm0w2aVtCmfY @2:09 it talks about this

I read all of the bots.
More giveaways
Interesting and great to learn about it
These are RUclips con artists no thanks
