Today's Gospel Monday August 12, 2024, Pay them for me and for you,
First reading.
Reading the prophecy of Ezekiel chapter 1, verses 2, 5, i, 24.
On the fifth of the month - it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jeconiah - the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, son of Buzi, a priest, in the land of the Chaldeans, on the banks of the river Quebrar. There the hand of the Lord rested on him.
I saw a hurricane wind coming from the north: a large cloud, and a zigzagging fire with a glow around it, and from the center of the fire like an amber glow, and in the center of everything the figure of four living beings.
This was their appearance: they had human form.
