Those cheap heaters will heat anything you want them to !!! I’m using one right now to keep a small uninsulated tent ,inside my larger greenhouse, warm enough to keep tomatoes alive. It’s nice to be warm , great video. This channel grew fast! It’s not been 5 years for this channel has it ?
MAYBE SEE ABOUT USING THE HOT EXHAUST PIPE/TUBING FROM THE HEATER AND RUN IT UNDER OR COIL IT AROUND THE BATTERIES TO KEEP THEM WARM??? IT'S HEAT ENERGY. UTILIZE EVERY BIT OF IT. KOOL VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Ya i thought the battery compartment was getting a little low! My solar box out in my shed has actually been working pretty well. The little 50 watt heater inside is doing the job. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. A night of cycling on and off brings the batteries down to low 80% but as long as there is sun the next day it gets back up to 100%
This 14 ft tiny house I’m im is doing good. 65 degrees in here is more than warm enough. I just finished putting wool insulation in all the walls so the whole thing including floor and roof has the mineral wool in it. The electric heater I’m running comes on every 30 minutes and stays in about 10 minutes then back off for 30. Ultimately it will be off grid also as you know. Can you move batteries inside your warmest area where you’re sleeping? I know you’ll get it all figured out. Take care pal! You almost got to read my obituary but I didn’t want to bring more hurt to my kids life than this divorce I was told about a couple of days before Christmas. If I hadn’t started this little tiny house I’d be sleeping in my truck right now.
Gonna have to see that tiny house sometime. Glad your still around i have lost to many good people in my life. You hang in there. I have a few idea on the batterys. Gotta make it 10 times harder than it should be. Part of the challenge
Or get some LTO batteries they take -20 celsius no problem. Saw some vids some people even keep those batteries uninsulated in the rain to power their electric bikes in emergency but they are bulky and more heavier though. I bought one for me motorcycle it has 0 problem in winter i had to buy a new lead battery every year now bought 0 batteries for 6 years already...
I'm running lip04 house batterys they are good at low temps. But csnt be charged below 32 degrees or it csn damage them. OK to discharge just not charge. The ones I running do have a low temp disconnect to protect them. Plan is to add heating pads or maybe swap out to heated batterys
I am glad things worked and you didn't freeze, bro. 😆
makes life much nicer
Glad you made it through the night!
Way to stay warm and watch your carbs.
Great test! Glad you didn’t freeze !

I have thought about moving the batterys right now my heater is on the opposite side of the electrical box

I may copy your design. Except I think I'm gonna try heat pads instead of ambient temp and to see if i can drop the draw a little
Very nice. I've been considering buying a diesel heater, just not sure what one to get. Seems like this one is economical and does the job!
Been. Pretty happy with it. Directly from vevor was less than 100.00 shipped in a few days. I have probably put 30 gallons though it

Brother, I know from experience it does get better. Takes a while. Take care of your kids and yourself.
