Hahaha 🤣 omg the ending 😅! Aww thanks for inviting me to come along with you, memories to treasure for sure! Can't wait to have more Adventures with you in the future, especially as you'll be requiring a map lady - I'm hired!
Carnaval Festival (the Dutch Small World) stops like that when they need to assist someone to get on or off the ride, like if they're in a wheelchair or sth.
When you say "it's not the best madhouse ever, but kinda cute" it's fair that you feel that way, but it is worth noting this is the first madhouse that was ever built. It is now a separate category of attractions. One that was invented right here; with this. For the first time it was all enclosed making the illusion all-encompassing, contrary to a similar construction in open air that gives itself away from the outside.
You don’t pay for the rides separately. You do have to pay for the standard extras like food, drink and if you decide to purchase merchandise or a ride photo. If you choose to stay then Efteling have packet deals including hotel and entry tickets and you can get decent discounts if you choose to stay at Efteling
Actually Disney is an answer to Efteling. Efteling opened in 1952. Way way way before Disney opened their first park. Walt Disney visited efteling before his parks opened.
They had their big 70 year anniversary last year. It all started with the fairytale forest. And it's still there. Childhood memories for a lot of Dutch people. We are so proud of our Efteling. I love international vlogs about this beautiful park
@@dutchieq3059 wow! I’m sad to have missed out with that celebration I bet it was great. I didn’t know much going in as I wanted it to be a surprise and remembered some bits from here and there from my last visit in 2003. It was great to experience (mostly) going in blind but since then I’ve done a little more research on rides and their supporting stories. I bet it was wonderful growing up with the park! It was really wonderful to experience it. Absolutely be proud of it!!
Event tho I love the story of Disney visiting Efteling it is unfortunatly a myth. Even Efteling admitted it. Disney did visit Madurodam an Tivoli garden for his Disney park inspiration. There is a big connection with Disney and Efteling tho. Both ask each others help all the time. And Disney's Tony Baxter even nominated Efteling for a big theme park award
We just got back and WOW it was amazing!

Walt Disney never visited the Efteling. He was in NL in 1951, when the Fairytale Forest hadn't opened yet. It's an urban myth
