Does it matter where you place troops/commanders when making armies? For example, when making an army with all small troops, it will have the lead commander out front and the other three behind. Does this positioning have any meaning outside of the lead commander?
@@Tharshey just curious if putting the less tanky commander/units “out of reach” would help with survivability for them. Also if you can impact skills that say “buffs 1-3 allied formations” into buffing specific formations or if it’s just randomized.
There's no stated advantage to using an army of a uniform race. BUT it is probably good to check commander skill pools that have racial buffs and make sure you are taking advantage of it. For example, Gothmog and Gorbag have skill pools which will buff multiple formations of orcs, not just their own. So use orcs with them. Commanders like WK have a skill pool that will buff any of the evil races.

This is such a good question and one I unfortunately don’t have the answer to yet. Will update this answer if I find out any info on it.

Race wise there is no buff but size wise there is a buff for using all small/medium or large units.
@@Tharshey yes, and an icon is displayed once you have formed an army with a singular unit size
@@TerminalConstipation Yep 💯
