@@thespicerthe outer armor is all new. The interior still use the pre molded frame on the limbs and waist. The frame for the torso, shoulder, and feet are new like newer rg
mgsd arguably has the best engineering, but only a niche group of people actually likes sd proportion. i have not gotten the mg 2.0 or the hg but i got the RG. the only good thing about it is its looks (imo it has the best wing shape among all of them. bandai seems to be leaning towards the narrow wing blades in most iterations. wider black section is the way to go). seems like its meant to be posed once and glued shut with zero play worthy
I've built the 2.0 and the MGSD and both are great in their own respective ways. I'd go with the RG if you want the best of both worlds of Anime accuracy with MG like articulation.
the GBC version fixes the shoulder joints and has a new head and wings. thats about it. not a fan of the new wings imo. wished they sell just the new updated joints or include it in all new reprint of the regular rg freedom
I'm leaning towards the 2.0 . The RG holds a special place in my heart, I built the PG Grand daddy in middle school then didn't touch the hobby for 9 years, the RG brought me back into the hobby and haven't left since. I would never ever ever recommend the RG today, that inner frame becomes the loosest thing I've ever seen.
Actually bro, RG these days are the best kit out there. The OLD RG really have bad frame, but RG since 2018/19 and up, daammnn, the best kit. Even better than MG
@@yoshigokyriyathe best real grade I’ve had so far is the Hi-Nu, I’d love to get another though just not one with the ever present floppy dick arms haha
Mgsd is overall the best for posability and detail. It doesnt get weighed down by its wings on a short peg like the 2.0. Lack stickers, holds sabers on railguns, everhthing holds (shield, side skirts) vs the hg.
If you want to compare all versions of freedom, not just the model kits, then the definitive best version is the metal build. It's the only version that has a special hinge in the wing cannon.
If you want to get the RG version, get the china statue one. Fixes most of the issues
Was it like a full redo or just some minor fixes?
@@thespicerthe outer armor is all new. The interior still use the pre molded frame on the limbs and waist. The frame for the torso, shoulder, and feet are new like newer rg
I was about to say this. Fully color separated head, and it stands on its own with the added gimmick in the wings that holds it up. Great kit
So its a statue not a gunpla?
@@viciouskraken2910its gunpla, just based on the freedom statue at gundam base shanghai
the mgsd is unironically amazing
if they make a justice mgsd, imagine how awesome it would be to place them side by side with their MG counterparts.

SD : Cute
HG : 100% Anime Accurate
RG : Best Looks
MG : Best display
For someone like me, who likes anime accuracy OOB, the HGCE Freedom Revive is the best bet.
I totally agree. The MGSD Freedom is totally awesome.
I got myself decals instead of stickers and panel lined it with acrilic wash and it's perfect.
The RG GCP ver. Is actually really good and fixes a lot, plus a fully color separated head, so if you want an RG get that one, but it’s mainly PBandai
What about the rg gundam base freedom? It's almost entirely a new mold. There's also the sdcs freedom
I have that one as well and I love it, but gating what is effectively the RG Freedom 2.0 behind P-Bandai is a scummy move.

I still think the old mg is still quite Nice for anyone to pick up
For me the 2.0 look wise it is amazing, the MGSD line it is his own beast, you have to like the SD look both are great kits to build =)
RG Freedom suffers from ERGS. (Early Real Grade Syndrome)
Yeah I just built the Rx 78 it has it a butt load
i see you are a man of culture

@@DS-gz6du I cant get over my RG God Gundam... I have 2 more for customization
What Is that?
I got the HG... my money is on the HG. Really wanted the detail of the RG though but I heard it has some balance issues.
my collection is only 1/144 so those are really my only two options
Haha not to push my MGSD agenda but the MGSD is about the size of the HG/RG. That being said the HG is a super solid represenatation of the Freedom
Hgce for anime accuracy. I have my hgce freedom since 2019 and after tons of reposes still solid and no broken parts
just put back the old wing cannon on mg 2.0 then it would be the best rendition of freedom gundam
There's two rg freedom, the 2nd one is supposed to be better
Isn't the 2nd one like a gundam base limited release?
Me casually crying as mu Real Grade Gundam i got gets Insulted as trash :')
Best freedom are MG 1.0 , no heavy styles like 2.0 , accurate with anime design
I love the MG except its v-fin
