    I’ve found that energy based weapons are much more efficient in directly damaging Creeper while AC is more for stemming the tide against smaller amounts of the blue goo (like spores and maybe egg blobs) from areas you’ve already claimed

    If you try this map again, literally the 1st thing you should do is disable the barriers from blocking anticreep. get that breeder ground working overtime ASAP

    the wave was my first ever custom map, was the highest rated custom map at the time, and the hardest damn map i have ever played. also one of my favorites...i think i'm a masochist

      on a side note, there is a "record and replay" feature that lets you watch how you beat a map (its slimmed down graphics wise and top down but still great)

      Veteran CW player here. I really like it, though there are one or two small things that would make this map just perfect.
      Having just a few tiny spots in the back to not have any ore would be nice, as it would allow a player to create a space efficient tower setup without needing to sacrifice room for the miners or refineries.
      (I would suggest making it in a way that would heavily encourage a grid layout for towers.)
      The other thing I would like is being able to toggle the ability for both creep and anti-creep to flow through the walls. I would perform this by making the walls themselves invincible and change the toggle option to allow for both to flow through or neither.
      (If you need an example, yum234 makes very unique CW3 maps called CSM which uses this idea a lot.)

    I think rushing orbitals and using conversion on the huge wave might actually be the way to win this

    This is one of the oldest custom maps, and pretty sure almost everyone loses it on their first try.

      I only lost the area between the first and second double barrier before pushing back, but I guess it's easier when one doesnt have to multitask and entertain watchers.

    Its a really nice map. If you watch your video yourself you see also that you build until minute 26 almost no defense. You had a huge economy but didnt used it ;-)

    I know there are lessons to learn on your own and there's no way he could've know but watching this with pre-existing knowledge of what was coming to Wander... was like watching a tidal wave barreling toward Wander while he's sunday driving through his neighborhood sight seeing xD

    I just played this map (again) and i think the interesting part is 'The Wave' itself which looks innocent but where the emitter produces a layer of about 200 the wave rolls back and forth at a height of 1000 while it looks like just 50 above the other creeper.
    Next time i will use that porter tactics to get those extra/early ERNs...

    The trick to this map is very simple, witch is part of the problem. More guns, you never have enough guns. Guns guns guns
    Did I mention guns. Unleash a can of gun-fu.

    This map was actually made by a creator who was known for making difficult maps for Creeper World 3

    I actually found the map to not be challenging, but that's because i figured how to deal with the massive creep. The barries can let AC in or block it, you can decide when you click it. I used that to my advantage. I made a frontline of mortars at the very front of a section in a line (leveled the terrain first) and used the buffer between sections to push and pull the creep. The issue is not keeping the normal flow of creep, the issue is dealing with the huge waves, that's where AC comes in, just before the wave comes to the front line, push the creep back with AC and mortars to let the shield recharge, if you time it right, you can restrict AC again and the wave hits the shield wall, then turns back. You can mostly survive this no problem. You use planes and rockets to push through after that. There are probably more optimal ways to progress but this is what i did on my first try and i succeeded. Also i did not push my luck ... which you did by going at the very end section.

      @@cheezles2 Oh yeah ... just tried for about 5 attempts and lost. I think i rushing for the end to produce anti-creep is the play, just haven't found the right place to dig in.

    I haven't managed to beat this yet, but I'd guess saving for a singularity and a conversion is probably the way you win.

      It certainly may help, but it also may be like blowing really hard against the wind; you'll eventually run out of air.
      I beat it by...
      1. spamming mortars *everywhere*
      2. Managing my AC by opening and shutting barriers to make the barriers regen a bit
      3. Dedicate a decent amount of the miners to bluite, and have a large amount of sprayers
      4. Use planes & Rain to slow down the creep flow in each section it breaks through

    Definitely recommend playing a CSM map, they are quite fun little puzzles

    i played a fuckton of Creeper III, one of my favorite TD games. I've been on the fence about CW4 but I think it's about time i get it as I'm sure it'll be worth it!

      Yes but they can also be a bit laggy (runs on 1/4th speed on my non-gaming PC lol)

      @@trickygamer555 Yea that's the main downside of them, even the earlier ones are bad with lag. Vertu throws way too many new things into his maps that the game can't process most of it. once you get further into the maps it evens out but its a slog.

    ah yes, the wave. the map that will absolutely bone you if you go in thinking this is just a leisurely map.
    my suggestion?
    see those trenches between the walls? spam guns inside it, flatten like 5-6 squares behind em and absolutely fill em with mortars real early. with the help of AC, it shoooould hold up.
    once it does and you're not dying, only then its time to focus on other stuff.
