And self training and reflection, with self control make you strong just like the monk's in China and that is why in modern culture items and self control make the person. But we will never now what truly makes a person greater than others that why we fused many philosophies in modern culture.

And honestly I like it cuz it gives attention to ALL the characters ( their backgrounds, personalities, powers and how they work) so that when stuff happens its for a reason and u don’t feel like they just pulled out information out they anus just for convenience or for plot

I still enjoyed it alot and hope we get another Season. Main issue i had was the OPs comment.. Sojiro came in i got so exited about his character and poof.. He was my favorite character as well.

For those who want to know. The yagyu clan was a clan of monstrous swordsmen (samurai). To the point that they earned political power. Yagyu Jubei mitsuyoshi (one of the most historically prevalent and romanticized) trained three of the Shogun in tactics and swordsmanship, to include Ieyasu Tokugawa.
Yagyu were real though (Yagyu is related to a Japanese family of feudal lords and a renowned school of swordsmanship), so much so real that they were a family of exceptional swordsman and to use that in an anime to show their skill with a sword that is dull. Still cuts the toughest materials with sheer skills alone, and that is how you flex ladies and gentleman.
The only thing i dont like about this anime is when Sojiro fought the magpie. I expected things to go down but it just ended the way it did so for me 9/10
A swords master can choose what to cut and not what to cut that's why the same dull swords ther can cut even the strongest metal , can't cut a human body
The anime would could have gain attention if it wasnt for long tedious intro, if the show was 24 eps understanable the intro length but it was short and ended being boring even though had some very interesting story.
