Vera Raponzel Well actually, it does depend on the lens. Not every lens will make the background that blurry. You need like 30mm/35mm/50mm although i find that 50 mm doesn't fit my whole face into frame in a smaller room so a 30mm is the best. and you need an f/1.4

it's not an effect. the background is just out of focus, because zoe is the subject. She has a Canon DSLR camera. idk which one though
