I've been gathering with 2 threads since learning to sew. I love the idea of using string! It's so much easier. Thank you

Thank you so much for taking the time to produce this RUclips tutorial. I've used this pattern twice over the last few years and am now attempting it again. I'm much better at knitting than I am at sewing and am keen to learn more about sewing and dressmaking techniques generally. I picked up some useful ideas on how to complete this pattern by following your tutorial and will no doubt be watching it again, at least more than once :-). I've now subscribed to your YoutTube channel because I've got another New Look pattern for a top which you've also produced a tutorial on - looking forward to doing that one again soon too. Best wishes from the UK.

Beautiful choice in fabric. I saw that pattern, but did not purchase it. I enjoyed watching your video.

I enjoy your tutorials but need to see what your actually doing with your hands and the fabric. I’m still learning loads so thank you

Would you advise cutting the front on a fold. I’m not fond of a front seam

I have the pattern front piece cut on the fold. I think I will modify the design by watching other videos , hopefully I won't mess it up too bad.

You can place on fold and just mark your dots and cut from there, I don’t like to modify as it’s the company’s instructions and don’t want to change it for tutorial reasons.

Just place on fold, mark your dots and cut from there, nothing to mess up, as I stated I don’t modify the pattern as the company wrote it that way, for tutorial reasons I stick with the pattern but you can modify it anyway you want.

I made this top, same view, and the neckline was really really wide. I did the gathering and matched dots and such, but yours is definitely gathered more. I just don’t understand what happened to mine.😢 Do you have any ideas? I just love this top and want to make more but need to know what is wrong.

Without seeing it it’s hard but did you fold the neckband in half length wise, can you send me a pic? AbbeyDL@ Comcast.net also did you cut the pattern piece the right size for your shirt? As it’s supposed to be gathered a great deal. But send me a pic and I’ll try to figure it out for you

Do you mostly use cottons? I love your choice of patterns but not always sure what kind of fabric you use? Your videos are so sweet. I just started watching because i love sewing too!

Yes for clothing I use cotton, or gauze, I never got into the knit fabric, I’ll use flannel once in awhile just for pj’s . down in Florida cotton clothes are the best.
